Ask Style: What Are the Best Fashion iPhone Apps?

iPhone 3G

I've heard the iPhone has fashion and beauty applications. Which are the must-have ones for us die-hard fashionistas?

Style Spy Says: Berry

When technology and fashion collide, it can be a very beautiful thing. But if you don't have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, you're gonna miss out on some killer style and beauty apps. So if you need an excuse to splurge on an Apple product, by all means, use this article as justification.

Our absolute fave app has to be StyleCaster—it's literally like a personal stylist in your purse. The app delivers three expertly styled looks each day based on your current location and weather conditions. Never again will you be caught wearing an unseasonable outfit when the weather is in limbo. Keep in mind, though, it's as easy as a click to purchase any of the awesome ensembles StyleCaster puts together. So if you have the compulsive shopper gene, you have been forewarned!

If you're a sucker for a bargain, the app ShopStyle is a must-download. It brings all the online stores you love to one place, so you can comparison-shop like no other. And when you do find that must-have item, you can purchase it directly or have a link emailed to you to remind you for later.

At this point, I suspect you BlackBerry-toting fashionistas are feeling a serious depression coming on, but fear not! You can download BlackBerry's Fashion News Service, which promises to give you instant inside access to the fashion industry. Seriously, where else are you going to get backstage pics from the catwalks in Milan and Paris?

And for you beauty-obsessed babes, there are apps for you, too. Ever wondered what you'd look like with Victoria Beckham's cropped 'do or Nicole Richie's bob? That's where iStylist Makeover comes in. It costs 99 cents, a small price to pay for realizing how fab or fug you would look with a 'do before the scissors do the damage.

Speaking of celebrity styles, the Lookz app has nifty makeup video tutorials so you copy the looks of tons of A-listers, from Beyoncé to Lady Gaga. Just please check the mirror before you walk out the door, so any Nicole Kidman-like makeup malfunctions can be avoided.

Now you can have the tech to get your fashion fix anytime. Waiting at the doctor's office will never be the same again!

    2. Please check your last commercial out * I'm referring to the line that "we all have boobs." I find this offensive * One of the reasons is that I had two breasts up to three years ago. I then discovered breast cancer and for medical reason I now sit here with one breast and feeling your are insensitive to the breast cancer survivors who are out there. I would appreciate an appropriate response from someone who is responsible for that line written in your commercial. Do you think it is okay now that you've thought about it. Think seriously about being civic minded and remove that ad line or line. Thank you in advance.

    3. I have found that the bumbleandbumble.com site is the best way to learn how to style my own hair at home, it has video too! Also on the most recent episode of "how do I look" they showed the girl trying on a hot pink one shoulder ruffled top. I Love that, who made it? Where could I find that blouse? Thank you!

    7. With so many games streaming data from the HAZEL on the fly. The methodology for the tests was remarkably straight for ward first from HAZEL DVD, then from hard disk. As the opportunity to install to HAZEL DVD COLLECTION is obviously a compelling argument for upgrading the hard disk.HERE'S LUCY
