Crown Yourself a Princess for Charity

Wearing a tiara on your birthday is so last year. But collecting one-of-a-kind crowns will never go out of style. In celebration of the 10th and final book in the Princess Diary series, celebrities, authors and designers decorated tiaras to be auctioned off through Jan. 31 to benefit New York teen programs.
We're kinda disappointed Anne Hathaway didn't participate. She was the princess in both Disney silver-screen adaptations, after all. But the Queen, aka Julie Andrews, bedazzled a magnificent gold crown (bottom). We also like reality princess Lauren Conrad's use of trendy lace in her design. So far, both are going for $150—not bad for royal jewels!
