Fri., Jun. 13, 2008 3:40 PM PDT by Staff
Katie, a 25-year-old bride-to-be, used to only wear rock band T-shirts and grungy jeans. Here's how Finola and her team finally got the rocker to see that it's a nice day for a white wedding.
Get the Look
Makeup: Nars makeup artist Happy began Katie's makeup metamorphosis by evening out her complexion with the help of the Brightening Serum, Concealer in Honey and Balanced Foundation in Mont Blanc. She then setting the look with Loose Powder in Flesh and a dusting of Bronzer Powder in Casino. On the cheeks, Happy applied The Multiple in Copacabana and Blush in Deep Throat and Luster. To frame the eyes, he started with an Eyebrow Pencil in Panama. Then, he layered on Cream Eye Shadow in Zardoz, Duo Eyeshadow in Key Largo, India Song and Pandora and Single Eyeshadow in Bengali. Eye Pencil in Black Moon and Mascara completed the smoky look. For the perfect pout, Happy used a combination of the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Calliope, Lip Liner Pencil in Papua and Lip Gloss in Moonfleet and Triple X.
Hair: Stylist Vivian Czo gave Katie's hair some oomph with Aveda products from the Nelson J Salon in Beverly Hills, which specializes in natural and eco-friendly hair care. For starters, Vivian used the Brilliant Shampoo and Conditioner. To style, she worked in the Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother followed by the Control Paste, setting curls with the Air Control Hairspray.
Apparel & Accessories: Finola's accomplices (Katie's future mother-in-law, Kelli, and best friend Melissa, along with stylist Andy Paige) shopped at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles; stores included Traffic, Karen Millen and Max Studio.
Extras
Katie received a massage and facial at Bliss Spa.

1. I do not like the new show format. With the additional money, I REALLY expected more fashion, and they all came up short. The clothes looked very cheap, and nothing was becoming on "Katie"............please go back to the old format.

3. Hello, by the way, your show is wonderful, I try to never miss it. The most recent show about the young woman who had cystic acne scarring and cerebal palsy was one of the best I've seen. I am writing because my 24 yr. old daughter has cystic acne scarring, severe, on her face and this has hurt her self image tremendously. She is a physically beautiful girl, but this, as I'm sure you could imagine, is hurtful to her self image. I was wondering how I could get a copy of this particular program with this young woman who is not scarred as badly as my Elizabeth is, however, my daughter does not have cerebal palsy and I thought it would be inspirational for her to view this video. You did a wonderful job with her and the make up did wonders to camoflague the slight scarring your girl had. I am a make-up artist and I do try to help Elizabeth, but with this deep of scarring, she needs cosmetic surgery. If you could recommend anyone, I would be grateful. How to get copy of program?

4. I went to high school with Katie, and I had no idea she had cerebral palsy. We weren't close friends, but I knew who she was (we went to a really large high school). Glad to see her getting "spoiled" * best of luck to Katie in her marriage!
