Have We Got a Deal for You!

Nylon Woven Scarf

The most fantastic, unique scarf arrived in our mailbox the other day. We wrapped it around our fashionable necks and within days had gotten so many compliments—from the receptionist at the doctor’s office, the random stranger window-shopping in Beverly Hills—we realized we had a holiday hit on our hands. And the price? Scroll down; you will not believe it.

First, the scarf itself. It’s a chunky-knit, open-weave wonder that comes in two neutral and adaptable shades: variegated khaki or the variegated charcoal shown above. It also happens to be a designer scarf, although—and this may be the most delicious detail of all—the maker is a mystery.

The scarf is being sold at the Scholarship Store at Los Angeles’ own Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, which often fields donations from alumni designers. (The designers usually don’t want to be named, as their clothes are being sold at deep discounts.) The price—and this is not a typo—is two dollars! Shoppers should call FIDM's Shirley Wilson at 213-486-4015. The store promises to ship to wherever you are!
