How to Zap Away Dark Circles?

Is there any method I can use each morning to make my sleepy and dark-circled eyes look bigger and brighter in a matter of minutes?

I almost wish this answer were more complicated. As much as I love my La Prairie eye cream, which costs about as much as a caviar facial at the Four Seasons, and which has helped my own under-eye circle problem over the years, I cannot recommend it in this case. At least, not as a primary solution.
Yes, Garnier has just introduced a new skincare line that includes an anti-puff eye roller, and Benefit is known among makeup artists for its Ooh La Lift, which also helps tired eyes. But, really, walk away from your bathroom cabinet and into your kitchen. Yes, really. The best solution lies in your freezer, and it's free.
"Cold compresses," dermatologist Dr. Francesca Fusco declares, "in the form of crushed ice, cold water, or frozen peas." (I am assuming frozen corn works just as well; no need to worry about carbs, for once.) "The cold temperature constricts blood vessels, reduces swelling and revs up circulation to fade darkness," Fusco says. "Is this sufficient?"
Heck, yes. And just the right price tag, too.

1. I've used Ooh La Lift in the past...but I never got the same results at home as when I was at the makeup counter. I totally LOVE the Benefit Eye Bright Pencil, though. It's a creamy pink pencil that lightens up my dark circles and makes me look like I got a lot more sleep than I actually did.
