One could hardly expect January Jones to wear sequins to a New York Times photo call for her AMC series Mad Men. No, a visit to the Old Gray Lady requires a quiet elegance, like this lace blouse and below-the-knee skirt combo. Nevertheless she couldn't resist jazzing up her ensemble just a little: Note the sheerness of her top and the satin slip peeking out from underneath.

1. Personally, I think she looks like her grandmother in this picture. I think she had the right idea, but if you're going for a delicate look, you should try to be edgy, too.
