YAY for the season premiere! Did you catch it?
Yano, I received this episode on DVD through my producer weeks ago and refused to watch it because I wanted to experience it with you guys. What did you think? Could you relate to Crystal?
Now that we've all seen it, I gotta say—Crystal was no easy sista. As awesome as it was that she was defiant, outspoken and clearly confident of her great looks, she was outta tune with what the rest of the world thought. And when it came to working her fam's business, she needed to get that down first.
I did respect Crystal right off the bat, because her yearning to be different reminded me a lot of me when I was in high school. YES! I, too, went through a phase where I thought nobody else's opinions mattered, and I didn't know how to evaluate first impressions and how people saw me.
I realized something very important during Crystal's tender moment with her mom after the two-way mirror was revealed: She did care what people thought—but only the people who mattered to her. When Crystal learned that her grandmother would have been so proud to see her granddaughter's transformation, it broke down that final wall.

1. I watched the new season premiere and was not impressed in the least. It isn't the show I want to see anymore. I will be watching What Not To Wear instead. No offense to Jeannie, but I didn't care for the way it was hosted. I also didn't care for the changes to the show. Only time will tell if it is a popular show. However, popular doesn't always mean quality.

2. Great job for this first episode. I love the final look for Crystal. Can't wait to see more episodes with a new look. It's about time!

4. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! I used to watch, but never finished the whole show. Now its so fun!! I love the fashion, and I really love this host. Ive seen her somewhere before on MTV. I loved her clothes and Chrystal! I'm a mom of 3 and my youngest dresses like Chrystal. we watched the show together and she said, Mom i want to dress like Jeannie! That is fine by me. I like all the fashion in the show, great job. And the mirror is so funny!

5. Loved the show and the new host's style!! What were YOU wearing Jeannie Mai?!? It's great that the website lists where you can find Crystal's outfits but PUHLEEZ, girl...where did you get that black/grey/lime green dress and that FABULOUS red and gold dress!?!?!? Share the wealth MyStyle! The viewers want to know!!!!

7. I use to watch this show religiously, couldn't wait to tune in each week. Waited almost a year for new episodes to air and what did they do? They went and changed the entire show on me. Bad enough they changed the entire format of the show but they went and changed the host as well. Sorry but I'm not liking this so called new and improved show at all. Nothing against you Ms Mai but Finola needs to come back. Until she does don't think I'll be tuning in again.

8. I freakin' LOVE the show! OMG, Jeannie cracks me up! I get so much info each episode and so many tips I can use too. Clothes, makeup....the cynic in me thinks superficial, but I know that it helps me project ME to the world and to MYSELF!Thanks for the transformations and inspirations. Now, how to get myself on the show...

9. I agree with Chelsea. Nothing against Ms Mai, but I really didn't like the change up in the show. I miss Finola and I probably won't be watching much either. I use to be a regular, but I didn't care much for the changes in the show. Also, I didn't care for the first episode participant, either.

12. You know, I understand what everyone is saying. Finola was a force to be reckoned with, she was strong and she really helped everyone out. Ms Mai was quirky and sweet, but she did not have the force behind what she said, where Finola was like a brick, really down to earth, Jennie was like a light and fluffy cloud. I will probably continue to watch, but I am thinking about it like it is a different show, not the same one and I am going to try not to compare the two. The one with Finola was a very small room, very intimate, this one is open, airy and lighthearted. I liked the more serious version too, but will continue to watch.

13. How are u guys comparing these two? Jeannie is positive and encouraging, Finola is straightforward and direct, both have tough love. Different twists to get the style job done!! Let finola move on to her successes! she's done a great round and lets wish her the best! Jeannie welcome aboard and be YOU!! It shows and u shouldn't be anyone else!

14. I really don't care for the new host. She's fake, she over acts and she tries to use words and language that just sounds weird coming out of her mouth. She's all like, "Ohhh girl! That is SICK!" Um, newsflash, you're not from the hood. The new format is boring, the show drags. I miss Finola, yeah she was a little cheesy but she seemed a lot more genuine. Plus it's all high tech and weird now. Blah, I hate it.

15. i think crystal was better before she just needed polish. wish i cud have seen more of her personality.. i bet you shes funny.. she seems like the kinda girl thats fun to hang out with.. you cud tell shes actually really smart.. she looked older then her mom when it was over though.. id like to see her host a show.. i know id watch it!

16. I thought Crystal looked just like Diahann Carroll in her teen years, if you google her old model pictures you can see how well Crystal will age. I thought Crystal's original look was like the Tokyo club girls, there is actually a real name for that look, Tyra Banks used that look on theTop Model challenge the one that Eva won. I love this show, Crystal and her Mom were great, best of luck, you have such a great figure and face Crystal, you life has probably already done a 360!

17. I actually whatched this one! when i first saw crystal i was like yikes someone please help her!!! I gotta say when it was over she looked amazing!! I personally love the new host even though i never acutally seen the old host... i think she has great style and she seems pretty sincer when she comments on the fashion! the only question i have is once you get the make over how are you gonna afford new clothes to keep up with it? not everyone is rich and famous!

18. This girl crystal was on another show called Parental Control and she acted way different from How Do I Look?.....you guys should check it out you will all be amazed!
