Jeannie's Tips for Transformation, Inspired by Oina
Mon., Dec. 12, 2011 8:00 PM PST by Jeannie Mai
Oina is an eager bride-to-be, and she and her fiance have waited years to get married. The only thing standing in her way is her deathly, all-black look. The How Do I Look? team swooped in to help this goth walk down the aisle in style! Read on for advice direct from Jeannie on how to bring a fresher look to your wardrobe.
Get Into A Shape With Better Fitting Clothes
As a gorgeous bride-to-be, Oina's best is to bring attention to her beautiful waistline. The producers and I were so happy to get Oina to wear a figure-fitting dress for the first time, so that she'll always recognize the real shape she is.
Show Your True Colors
For Oina's everyday wardrobe, I saw that color really breathed life into her after wearing black for so long. So I began to channel my theory of "wearapy" into her mind- to wear specific colors that will bring an empowering mood over her day ahead. Yellow and red were probably the most dominant shades being that I wanted Oina to feel revived and passionate about her new future ahead.
Stick Your Neck Out There
With Oina's hair being so full and jet black, it was important to teach Oina about necklines for clothing. Gone were the days of covering up and hunching over, I taught Oina to stand tall with V-necklines and rich collars to pop.
Watch clips below for more of Oina's story!

3. Hi,l am one of your favorite viewer and l so much appreciate the transformation taking place through your program.l am suggesting a feedback mechanism where we will be able to see aftermath event of all the people you change their life.l mean do you keep track of them to ensure that some of them do not go back to the old way of dressing. This should also form part of your program by revisiting some of those people whose life have been change and let the world know how they are living * Thanks Tajudeen Abuja-Nigeria

4. 1. Automations are already silly and unnecessary but now sound effects?! 2. Stop giving weaves to these women and work with what they got. Makeover becomes a Halloween costume as they will never be able to replicate again. Show is fun and host is great. Just stick with the core ingredients that are working and stop trying to spice it up or turn it into a Barbie makeover.
