We called it! Just as we predicted, Katy Perry's time as a ginger was only a brief interlude before she made the complete switchover to blonde. The pop princess revealed her newly golden locks on MTV News yesterday as she waited for the announcement of the VMA nominees. The singer scored nine noms, by the way, not too shabby!

But back to the new ‘do, we have to admit we're a bit skeptical about the reversion back to her roots (the girl is a natural blonde). We'll always maintain Mrs. Brand's glossy black is best. It totally makes her pop! And we have to say we even liked the orange on her better than this blonde. The singing sensation is all about bold statements and standing out from the crowd, and this blonde kind of makes her blend in.
