Low Ponytails are the Mane Trend at NYFW
Tue., Feb. 14, 2012 12:00 PM PST by Daisy Becerra
Ponytails are the most practical hairstyle for women because they are low maintenance. So, thank god that NYFW designers decided to style their models' tresses in this easy-to-create 'do.

This hairstyle was seen on the catwalk of the Hervé Léger, Charlotte Ronson and Tibi fashion shows. However, these weren't your everyday run-of-the-mill ponies. The masterminds made sure that the hairdo looked ultra modern by creating low ponytails with sleek-straight hair.
Out of all the hairdos that have come down the runways, this might be the easiest to replicate. All you need to do is flat iron your tresses, pull your mane back with a hair tie, then apply some hairspray and ta-da you'll have runway-worthy locks.
After the jump, check out other hairstyles that have hit the runway in our Runway to Real Life: Haute Hair gallery.
