Painting Soles with the Stars

If fashion is art then is art fashion?
It sure is when the canvas is a pair of shoes! Stars like Penelope Cruz, Matthew McConaughey, Sharon Stone and Ashton Kutcher have lent their artistic talents to UGG Australia for the boot company's fifth annual Art & Sole charity event. Inspired by the word "hope," some 25 celebrities have created one-of-a-kind paintings—on a classic pair of UGGs. Eva Longoria designed hearts and Miley Cyrus, a rainbow pattern, while Whoopi Goldberg went for a braided appliqué.
These masterpieces will be auctioned off on www.uggaustralia.com for two weeks, beginning Dec. 1. One hundred percent of the net proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
