Runway to Red Carpet: Renée Zellweger Ditches Carolina Herrera for Vera Wang

When we first saw this outfit come down Vera Wang's runway at Fashion Week, we were in love. Eggplant is the color for fall and it was refreshing to see a designer show pants for evening.
Last night, Renée Zellweger debuted the runway look on the red carpet at Vera Wang's West Hollywood store opening on Melrose, but ditched the extralong skinnies for a simple pencil skirt.
While the actress looks sleek and sophisticated per usual, it would have been nice to see her switch it up for a change. The saying might go, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it," but Vera's twisted statement pearls could have really taken the star's look to the next level.
