Gerda Spillmann claims its new retractable, environmentally safe Bio-Blends eyeliners ($13.95) glide on smoothly and last all day. Available in four shades, the waterproof pencils also have a sponge tip to make blending a cinch. Read on for eye-opening reviews.
Pros: I liked that no sharpener was needed. The sponge tip was great for smudging the Black Magic color.
Cons: It could glide on a little better.

Pros: The eyeliner applied smoothly. If you like your makeup very subtle and natural, then this is the pencil for you.
Cons: I barely noticed the Dark Chocolate liner, so I can't verify that it's long-lasting.

Pros: It was easy to use and apply. I loved that it lasted all day.
Cons: It was quite the adjustment using the Perfect Grey color, since I'm so used to black eyeliner. But I got a darker shade by pressing down harder.
—Kimberly M., On Air Promotions
Pros: The Rich Navy color was a refreshing change. (I usually do black.) Since it's supposed to be waterproof, I outlined the inner rim of my lower lids to see if the color would stick given all the moisture. It did! Plus, the soft point made for safe application.
Cons: While the line on my upper lids stayed put, a little bit of the makeup on my lower lids had erased by the end of the day. Also, it was difficult getting a fine line once the point became dull. Guess I'll just have to live with the messy pencil shavings from my 99 cent Jordana eyeliner.

Bottom Line: Gerda Spillmann's Bio-Blends liners are effortless to use. Just think extra hard about the right color for you to ensure an eye-catching look.
