Would You Wear It?: Fur Cap Sleeves

I rarely ever "hate" anything, but when I saw Angie Harmon and Sarah Jessica Parker wearing fur cap sleeves last spring, I hated it! It looked as if a couple of beavers were attacking their shoulders. Why would anyone want to ruin a perfectly good dress with those fugly things? For months, no other star stepped out in the hairy accessory (phew!), so I chalked it up to a fad.
Then just last week, both Gina Gershon and Naomi Campbell were seen wearing the shaggy shrug. Between that and leaving a showing of Where the Wild Things Are last night feeling totally disappointed, my fur cap sleeve fury had successfully been ignited.
On the flip side, I can somewhat see how the celebs might view the over-the-top trend as flashy and luxurious. What do you think? Am I alone on this?
