Peter Makes It Perfect: Bonnie Somerville

Style expert Peter Ishkhans, whose new show—Peter Perfect—starts airing on the Style Network next month, is a genius at making the best of a bad situation. Today, he rights the red carpet wrongs of Bonnie Somerville.

Given her recent style hits and the impeccable wardrobe she wears on Cashmere Mafia, you'd expect Bonnie Somerville to have the red carpet all sewn up. So imagine our surprise when she showed up at a Beverly Hills bash wearing this unflattering knee-length. 

"It looks like we borrowed Grandma's dress," Peter jeers, adding that the extra folds make the slim actress' hips look large. The Brit wit suggests Bonnie try a slinkier dress composed of a lighter, form fitting fabric, like Missoni's designs. Brighter colors would also better compliment Bonnie's pale skin.

As for accessories, Peter says that like her dress, Bonnie's shoes, bracelets and earrings are too heavy. He would have preferred a camel colored strappy Manolo and light wood jewelry with a gold inlay.  

Luckily, the actress did get something right: "The hair and makeup are very fresh, young and, well, Peter Perfect!"
