Revamp Your Shoes

You get three tries at guessing what's pictured above. A dominatrix's latest tool? Nah. A foot harness? Close, but no cigar. A foot fetishist's toy? Nope, it's actually a spat. What's a spat, you're wondering? It's a piece of fashionable leather that fits over an ordinary pair of shoes to give them new life—and a little extra pizzazz!
Posso the Spat, the brainchild of Marylouise Pels and Vanessa Giovacchini, is single-handedly bringing back the accessory, which used to be worn by fashionable gents (think Fred Astaire) to spruce up their footwear. They'd just fasten a black spat over gleaming white shoes, and suddenly they were singing in the rain. (Or believing they were limber enough to do so!)
Pels and Giovacchini insist that today, both men and women can enliven any footwear with this trend. (Lindsay Lohan has already snapped up a pair.) Just slip the finely crafted Italian leather design over anything from a man's Oxford to a lady's highest heel, and voilà, an old shoe is suddenly catwalk ready! But it'll cost you more than a song and a dance. Expect to pay $100 to $242 for a pair.

1. It's a dickie for your shoes. If you remeber, in the early eighties the fake turtle neck, the Dickie. I will be intersted in how well they sell. All they need is for a few high profile Celebs to wear them, and the rest of the free world will follow in toe.

5. These things are so stupid. I would rather buy another pair of shoes. I'm sure little hipster kids will think they're super cool, but good thing that won't be enough to save these dreadful accessories. I wish I had 2 more hands so i could give them spats 4 thumbs down!
