Can I Get Bee-Stung Lips Without the Sting?

Clinique Full Potential Lip Plump and Shine

Is there a way to plump my lips without the sting?

Style Spy Says: Berry

Unfortunately, good lip plumping often comes with a bit of sting. Really good plumping comes with a lot of sting.

A few months ago, I got a bit tipsy and rubbed a superhot chili pepper on my lips. I had to ice them for 25 minutes, but everyone at my dinner party agreed that my pout looked fabulous. And the color! The closest I've gotten to replicating that fabulous pink shade was the Ripening Lip Tint from Mark. But I digress. Yes, I do have a recommendation for you.

Clinique recently introduced Full Potential, which claims to plump lips and even refine them over time. (Time is the tradeoff you'll have to deal with if you don’t want sting.) Clinique reps turned me on to the Glamour-Full shade a few months back, and it seems pretty universal. The company warns that users may feel a mild tingling, but neither I nor my colleagues have ever felt any. It's the next best thing to a five-alarm chili pepper.
