What's the Best Moisturizer for Combination Skin?

I get combination skin in the winter. What moisturizer should I use?

First of all, thank you, thank you, for understanding that your skin still needs moisture even when you have oily spots. The key for you is a light moisturizer, perhaps even water based, that delivers comfort and softness without grease. The exact moisturizer for you will depend on which problem is worse: The oil or the dryness.
For example, 3Lab offers bunches of lotions with multiple skin problems in mind. Your best bet: Hydra Day lotion, which is water-based and moisturizes without clogging pores—good for oily patches—but also delivers serious softening power through compounds that are way too brainy for me to list here.
You should also know that makeup artists live and die by common, over-the-counter moisturizers. Visit any top makeup artist chair and you'll see a giant bottle of Cetaphil, which has been used many times on my own visage before an on-camera appearance. Why? Because it's light but also gets the job done. Makeup doesn't run or slip off due to excess oil, either.
You should also take care to exfoliate the dry stuff during this winter season. Baborganic has a Crystal Face Scrub that also contains a conditioner to keep the skin happy during the whole sloughing process.
Here’s hoping your skin has a happier New Year!

1. I am so happy that this question was brought up. My skin always gets dry and flakey in the winter, and I get red blotches, from a reaction of the snow. I can't wait to try the product

2. The Made from Earth Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer saved my face!!In my late twenties, I tried just about every moisturizer I could find including rarified ingredient boutique lotions but my skin remained dry, hot, itchy, flaky, and I was seeing laugh lines around my eyes. I was about to give up hope until my mother, whowho has AMAZING skin, brought me the organic Made from Earth "Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer"...On the occasions I do try other lotions, they never measure up. My skin thanked me after the first application. After a few days, it looked better, was less red, less chapped. Within a month or two (or less, I don't remember after 3 years) I had no lines near my eyes, my skin feels soft and comfortable unless I abuse it. When I abuse it, this lotion makes it feel better. People consistently guess my age to be 5-8 years younger than I am even though I have grey hair.I almost never need more than a tiny amount the size of a pencil eraser to cover my face, neck and hands.
