    1. No Fiona-----no watch!

  • hlee Sun, Jul 19, 2009, 2:56 PM

    2. WOW JEANNIE MAI?! She was awesome on the Oscars and I love how she did, "dude, where's your style." Can't wait.

  • Nessanu Thu, Jul 23, 2009, 9:47 PM

    3. Watched it. Cheesy. MUCH better with Finola. So generic now. She had AMAZING style and was warm and likable. The new hostess couldn't be more bland and uninteresting. Sad. I used to love this show.

    4. What happened, I was a regular loved Fiona and the set up of the show, love the cloths behind the curtain, that was changed and I started to loose interest in you show, not so much fun any more, Now Fiona gone the layout of the show is blah, you can't relate to the guests, bring it back why change a good thing.

    5. I had just discovered the show shortly before the format and host changes. The new setting is so sterile and uninviting. It appears as though the changes are an attempt to modernize the format and possibly attract a younger audience. However, I believe that the basic audience is stay-at-home moms, ladies who are not employed, and retirees like me. The main thing that really bothers me about the new show in the completely unnecessary and offensive use of profanity. On the first show of the season, I heard ****** ******* ******* and I believe ******* Such language is not as all necessary is a show such as this one. I often have my grandchildren in my home when the show comes on and have to change the channel due to the language eventhough my granddaughters enjoy itthe show I wish you would have your host and guests censor their language.

    6. The makeover is a giant mis-step and I will no longer be watching. The new host and new set has the warmth and personality of a rattlesnake during mating season. Fiona brought a warmth and sense of substance to the show. How do you look? Bland and uninteresting from here on.

  • Mary P. Anderson Mon, Aug 3, 2009, 10:07 AM

    7. How Do I Look? WAS one of my favorite shows. I'm a high school guidance counselor so I was able to watch it all summer and on vacations but was also able to catch re-runs during the school year. Fiona Hughes was an awesome host. Nothing against Jeannie, but I find her offensive and the new set sterile. Fiona has a warmth and actually seemed to care about the guests and was able to deal with extremely difficult clients such as Plum. I am very sorry you felt the need to change an excellent program into a very poor one, which I will no longer be watching. Perhaps it's not too late to entice Fiona (and your viewers) back. Good luck with that.

    8. The new format * quite simply * stinks. My daughter and I just sat down to watch it not knowing about the new format. We both hate it * and promptly changed to something else. Cold, snotty and stupid * go back to Fiona.

  • D Moran Fri, Aug 7, 2009, 12:46 AM

    9. I have watched this show for years and I HATE it now! BRING BACK FINOLA! What happened! Why can't we at least have reruns? It's like you have tried to wipe her off the face of the Earth!!!!

  • KAK Sun, Aug 9, 2009, 6:04 PM

    10. Sorry...can't get into the new format. Bring Fional back, and I'll be back!!

  • Olympia Mon, Aug 10, 2009, 7:19 AM

    11. The only reason why I purchased the Style Network Show was for Finola Hughes hosting "How Do I Look"; I felt she had a more realistic concept of helping people change. All I see now is these cable networks trying to meet the needs of more "reality" TV Shows. I feel it is less educational on style and more reality based. I am hugely disappointed with the new host, new loft, new concept. Though the host seems like a nice person, the show seems more fake and unrealistic now, and the way it is filmed looks unreal. I am now back to dedicating myself back to TLCs "What Not to Wear" with Stacy and Clinton. At least they are real, and they didn't change to match the reality TV Circuit. They still reach out to people in the true ways. I wish Style Network would reconsider bringing back the originality of Finola Hughes. Thanks for listening.A Former Viewer

    12. Wow, what a dissapointment, no Finola. The new format and the new host are awful. I felt like I was watching public access, the show was so unprofessional and she has no warmth at all. I would never open up to her. I feel you were trying to attract a younger audience, well in the process you just lost your loyal following. I wiss Finola well and hopefully you'll see the error of your ways

  • Sade Wed, Aug 12, 2009, 7:41 AM

    13. I NEVER comment on shows but I felt like I needed to say that it was a HUGE mistake to get rid of Finola. I will not be watching now.

  • barbara Thu, Aug 13, 2009, 8:03 AM

    14. Yuk!!! Gimmicks and a new set can't replace talent and personality. Bring back Fiona!!!

  • allyson Thu, Aug 13, 2009, 9:55 PM

    15. Do not like the new look for the show loved Finola will not be watching the show anymore

  • Patti Sat, Aug 15, 2009, 6:43 AM

    16. I also hate the new version of this show. I swear I actually saw Jeanniw jump up and down in glee during one of the shows. She doesn't seem to be a good fit for this role. I don't look at her and think style or mentor. She looks like an actress playing a part (which of course she is but still........). I love makeover shows but the makeover of this show is just leaving me cold. I'm not watching anymore either.

  • karen Sat, Aug 15, 2009, 7:39 AM

    17. I agree with everything that's been said so far. I especially liked the program with Finola because their was NO SWEARING/OBSENITIES. Finola was awesome. She was able to be firm when necessary but, at the same time, very compassionate. I watched the show even when it was a rerun. I, too, will NO LONGER watch the program without Finola. What's really sad is that this is happening all over TVland. I often wind up watching the weather program because "so far" it's clean.

  • Brenda Sat, Aug 15, 2009, 11:21 AM

    18. I don't really care for the new format. I really enjoyed the show more with the other format and the "photo shoot". I'm sure that Finola has enough irons in the fire to not be able to return to the show, and cannot imagine anyone would eliminate her without her approval. I love Jeannie and I'm glad you added the part where the we can hear the comments from the shoppers, assistants, etc. I just thought the way it was before was more personal.I believe that the show is growing a lot in popularity. Just moving to a larger live audience proves this. I will still watch, and still enjoy it mostly. It's just different and change is always difficult. I hope that the show does continue and there will be less reruns, and a longer season.

  • Catherine Sun, Aug 16, 2009, 7:50 PM

    19. The new makeover is awful. I don't understand why Finola isn't the host anymore. Why did the producers feel a need to change a show that was great? Finola was sensitive, warm and generous. I also liked the set. It was warm and personable too. Now everything * the host, the location and everything else * screams fake and annoying. I won't be watching this show anymore unless you bring Finola back.

  • Demetria Mon, Aug 17, 2009, 1:17 PM

    20. I am not sure what the producers were drinking but it could not have been water because only someone DRUNK would put together is garbage!!!!! Finola was warm yet firm now the show seem like it should me on the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon it is REALLY corny. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE do whatever it takes to give the show life again. We want Finola, We want Finola, WE WANT FINOLA!!!!

  • Eve Mon, Aug 17, 2009, 1:48 PM

    21. Finola was the perfect host for this show. She was so sensitive, diplomatic, and really projected caring for the guests. Now it looks like any other crummy reality show. I won't be watching it any more.

  • MaureenElizabeth Tue, Aug 18, 2009, 4:26 PM

    22. This new format is awful, sending clothes up a chute? Silly. The original version was the best * I didn't care for the change last season while Finola was still there but I watched it anyway. This new format is just ridiculous. What were you thinking? Don't care to watch anymore!

  • Barbara Thu, Aug 20, 2009, 6:48 PM

    23. I use to enjoy this show immensely

  • Barbara Thu, Aug 20, 2009, 6:49 PM

    24. I use to enjoy this show immensely and was sorry to NOT see Finola Hughes as the host of this season's How Do I Look? I?m not a fan of the new format, or the new host. As a result, I can?t say that I?ll be finding my way to the Style Network as often as I once did. Is there any chance of Finola coming back? Sure hope so!

  • Joy Thu, Aug 20, 2009, 9:50 PM

    25. I've never written in about a tv show in my life, but I felt I had to complain about this horrible switch from the interesting, warm, generous, funny Finola Hughes to the new host Jeannie Mai. I know Hollywood culture is all about youth, but you've made a tremendous mistake. To put it bluntly, Ms. Mai has nothing to offer. She lacks the wit, charm, and presence of Ms. Hughes. Watching the show feels like a complete waste of time. I won't be wasting any more of my time on "How Do I Look."

  • Liz Mon, Aug 24, 2009, 6:10 AM

    26. I have to agree with the other comments, there is something cold about Jeannie, she seems to put off that she better than the guests. The chute is silly, I watched them put jewerly up there(the episode with the roller girl) and it seemed odd. I saw that the show was on this morning and was so upset when I realized it was the "made-over" show. I miss Finola!

  • Marie Tue, Aug 25, 2009, 1:02 AM

    27. Without Fiona the show is a washout. The new hostess is just a pale imitation compard to Fiona.I stopped watching afteer the first 2 shows. Oh well, from what I've read on here the show is in for a big ratings drop. I know I won't be watching.

  • Bernadette Sun, Aug 30, 2009, 5:31 PM

    28. Do not like the new look and hostess of the show. The show no longer has the warn feeling that Finola Hughes brought to it and how the viewers relate to Finola. I no longer watch the show * if Finola is brought back I will definitely tune back in.

  • debra Sun, Aug 30, 2009, 6:24 PM

    29. I hope the producers get the picture: the show's new format stinks and I will not be watching until Finola comes back!

  • Liz Sun, Aug 30, 2009, 6:57 PM

    30. What happened to Finola hosting?! I thought she was the perfect host, now the show has just made me lose so much interest..Bring Finola back! The new format of the show isn't that great either..

  • Cheri Sun, Aug 30, 2009, 7:33 PM

    31. I agree. Without Finola, this show isn't worth my time. She made the show.

  • Melanie Mon, Aug 31, 2009, 6:33 AM

    32. I am just floored that Finola Hughes is no longer the host. I watched this show because of her. I believe it was a TOTAL mistake to replace her. Please bring back Finola.

  • Jessica Judd Mon, Aug 31, 2009, 7:07 AM

    33. As others have said, I usually do not comment on shows, but I will here. It is obvious that Style decided on someone younger to spice up the ratings of this show. As a woman in my early 40's, I like seeing a well put together lady of a similar age in a hosting position. It is a show that I watched a lot but no more. As seems to be the sentiment, it lacks warmth and if I'm not mistaken, I have seen blue streaks in the new host's hair. How is that supposed to inspire these people to change? Very trendy for a show that is looking to get poeple to find classic styles that will help improve their lives. I found Finola's website and it seems pretty apparent that she was let go as opposed to leaving on her own accord. She is and actress, but she also has a fashion background. I hope someone grabs her up for a new series soon!

  • Jacquelyn Mon, Aug 31, 2009, 1:41 PM

    34. HOW DO I LOOK IS TERRIBLE NOW! FIONA WAS WARM AND CARING * THIS NEW CHICK IS MEAN AND IGNORANT * THE SET IS UGLY AND WHAT'S WITH HAVING ALL THESE OUTSIDE PEOPLE WEIGHING IN ABOUT HOW THE PERSON * WHO OBVIOUSLY NEEDS HELP * LOOKS? THIS SHOW HAS BECOME MEAN-SPIRITED AND I WON'T BE WATCHING AGAIN *** UNLESS FIONA COMES BACK!

  • Natalie Wed, Sep 2, 2009, 10:58 PM

    35. Wow, what a mistake to not have Finola on the new show. The tube is foolish; the set is sterile. Really can't stand the new hostess. How did she get on tv? It's sad to see a really great show so mangled. Please, please, bring back Finola.

  • Orrymain Fri, Sep 4, 2009, 12:11 AM

    36. I have to add my two cents here. I was very saddened to see Finola Hughes gone. I've tried to find out why, but I can't turn up a reason for the change. I did tune in with an open mind, but I won't be back. All I had to hear was Jeanne say "give me the dish". Huh? This isn't the mod and hip squad, it's a fashion and style show. It's now too slick and too gimmicky. What I loved about the show initially was the warmth Finola added to it. She really cared about these people. Her sit down chats and such were insightful and heart felt. I don't see this show lasting as it is now. You're down at least one viewer.

  • Maria Fri, Sep 4, 2009, 5:31 AM

    37. I loved "HDIL" with Finola. Couldn't wait for new episodes and watched re-runs over and over. It is terrible now. No depth, no reason to become engaged. Jeannie Mai misses the mark. Youth is not everything! Finola had class, wisdom, charm, and real fashion sense. There is no emotional connection with the "fashion victim". The set is ridiculous, and the reveal looks like it's done in an auditorium. Whoever is responsible for this mess should be fired. I will not be watching anymore. I will really miss the show. "What Not To Wear" and "Making Over America" will get all my attention. The only show I watch on TSN now is "Clean House".

  • Nicole Sun, Sep 6, 2009, 4:48 PM

    38. Jeannie I wanted to know where you got the out fit you are wearing the red top and black belt and and black skirt.

  • Claud Fri, Sep 11, 2009, 6:28 PM

    39. Hate the new format. The new host is terrible and is so cold and soooo pushy. I will not be watching the show anymore!

  • Karena Sat, Sep 12, 2009, 7:50 AM

    40. I have never EVER commented on a blog....but jeez....I felt compelled to encourage Mrs. Hughes to take her brilliant hosting talents and flawless sense of style to Bravo, Lifetime, WE or another female friendly cable network. Heidi Klum didn't let a network stop her...and neither should you!!! Produce your own show and your loyal viewers will follow. I don't know what age demographic the Style Network thought the show was/is geared towards...BUT HOW DO I LOOK?...looks young, dumb and blah!! As a 40 year old female it sends a message that age isn't beautified on the STYLE NETWORK. Alas I will never watch the show again. I gave it two episodes, and will NOT waste another hour of my life.

  • Dawn Mon, Sep 14, 2009, 1:22 PM

    41. Do not like the new format nor the host on this show. I'm sure she is a great person, but too boistrus and loud. She needs to know the show is about somebody else.

  • Tessa Tue, Sep 15, 2009, 12:28 PM

    42. For Christy's Show: What is up with the new host? Who does this person think she is? In her comment to Christy, saying, "...and I go to parties, and I'm popular!" Who really cares?! The show is about Christy, not Jeannie Mai! Besides, must we have to hear how popular she is? Get over yourself, Jeannie, you're not all that. Bring back Yoanna or Fiona * at least they didn't try to build themselves up by cutting others down...

  • Karen Tue, Sep 15, 2009, 1:25 PM

    43. Overall I liked the old way better. I do prefer the other host, she was more caring and genuine but this one could pull it off it you returned to the older format. It seems that there are more gimmicks now, like putting people in the windows, asking others to pick yes or no if someone looks hot, etc. I miss the one minute style tidbits that was given to viewers. That really helped all of us at home that are in the same boat as the person on the show. It's not all bad though. I like the fact that you can pick the clothing collection separately from the hair collection now. That is a plus. I miss the make-up options though. It seemed like before the show helped the viewers as well but not now.

  • Gina Wed, Sep 16, 2009, 7:13 PM

    44. I have to agree with the various 10 comments I have read below regarding the new host of How Do I Look. I cannot get over how unlikable the new host is and feel the new format is repulsive and about 24 minutes of an eye sore. I'm sorry TLC, love your channel-hate the new 'How Do I Look'. I haven't even watched an episode and each time I see a promo for it I change the channel further away from TLC. Sorry. Finola Forever. -Gina, Madison, WI

  • An Nichols Sat, Sep 19, 2009, 4:47 PM

    45. I feel I have to agree with all of the above comments. I'm a doctoral candidate and while Finola Hughes might've lacked the formal fashion background, she was more substantive. Also, I liked that the show started at the person's home and then traveled over to the studio. This new show seems more like other reality TV fodder * dedicated to absolutely embarrassing the people they're supposed to help as supposed to actually talking to them. The new set and host feel like a desperate attempt to feel 'young.' I don't understand why they didn't just keep Finola and then do a Spin-off version of How Do I Look. What I particularly dislike about the new host is her comments appear directed towards the camera as opposed to the person she's 'helping.' Additionally, in one show she actually mouthed how much she disliked the 'fashion victim' to the hidden 'stylists' which I felt was disrespectful. So, I feel I must agree that I will not remain with the show or the Style network myself.

  • Heather Sun, Sep 20, 2009, 8:15 AM

    46. My two daughters and I used to love to watch how I look. It was our favorite show. This new host and format is disappointing! If this was an attempt to get younger viewers it failed because even my daughters can't bear it. The host is annoying. Finola made the show.Unless Finola comes back, you have lost three more loyal viewers!

  • Karen Sun, Sep 20, 2009, 10:44 AM

    47. This is a downgrade from what the show used to be. Not the same and I cant get interested in the new show. What were these people thinking when they decided this "makeover". Bring Finola back.

  • Amy Sun, Sep 20, 2009, 4:09 PM

    48. Not going to watch without Finola!!! The show stinks. I loved it the way it was.

  • Steve Sun, Sep 20, 2009, 5:01 PM

    49. My wife and I loved the show with Finola Hughes. After one spin of the new format and hostess, we've opted to give up on one of our formerly favorite shows. No Finola * Two lost viewers for the network.

  • joan Sun, Sep 20, 2009, 5:29 PM

    50. Seriously, this show is TERRIBLE now without Finola! The totally lame reveals at Hollywood and Highland? The new host runs all her words together and just wants to make cute little remarks. I won't be watching this show any more. BIG MISTAKE Style network. Big Mistake.
