8. I think you are the most amazing woman I have ever seen. It makes me so glad to see you working hard on being healthy and having already lost the massive amount of weight that you've lost is amazing! You are beautiful and inspirational. I wish that I could have the determination that you have. I am a single mom and over the last 3 years have gotten incredibly lazy in regards to my health and activity. I used to love to be outside and athletic and while I don't eat poorly, I know my level of activity has gotten me to where I am now, which is the heaviest I've ever been. If I could just find some shred of the motivation that you have and get off the couch I might be able to regain who I once was. Ruby, keep on working hard, in the long run it will all pay off! I am proud of what you've accomplished and hope that someday I can be right there with you.

15. Hi Ruby. I watched your show at the end of your last season and I had seen the one where Denny came back. I freaked out because I once knew Denny and his family. I told my husband, "Hey I know him" and Jeff (your best friend). I met them both through Duane (I called him "Bear"). Bear once lived at a Christian retreat in Salt Springs, FL. and we dated while he lived here. I was so shocked and saddened to hear that he had passed away. I will always cherish our time we had together! Jeff had came down and lived at the retreat to help out with the church that John Dawsey and Bear were attendiing. Jeff and I became good friends while he was here. You have a great friend and from what I remember of Jeff, I'm sure he is a great supporter for you. It's great to see you guys on TV because Jeff and the Starr boys were once part of my life. I will definantley be watching this season coming up and I wish you all the luck in your journey. You've done a great job already!! God Bless you!!Bonnie

16. Hi Ruby I'm so happy Season 2 is finally here! I admire you so much and am losing weight with you. You are such a blessed girl to have friends like Georgia and Jeff. They truly love you. Take real good care of yourself and if you have some extra time on your hands I would like to suggest a book that is really helping me with my weight loss. The name is NATURALLY THIN by Bethenny Frankel. I T IS NOT YOUR USUAL DIET BOOK. It does not give you a diet! It instead deals with our BEHAVIOR concerning food. I actually have been on hundreds of diets but until now have never delt with my behavior. Hope you check it out and it helps you like it is helping me. Sincerely Bobbie from Chicago

25. Hi Ruby. You go girl!! You are beautiful. First time watching the show tonight. Remember what the pastor said. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. And there is a popular gospel song that says, "We fall down, but we get up!!" Don't give up! So proud of you.Love your friends. They are awesome. They basically told that ex-boyfriend of yours to back up!! Love it!! Great friends.
melanie Brooks Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 5:44 PM
26. Ruby,As I watched you on TV tonight and know how you feel about your daddy, please know you need to keep on track. Honor your father's life and memory by living your life the way he would want you to be. When you were born he wanted you to be all you could be. And you can be and you are!. I know he was proud of you~it is a daunting journey you are on~but you will succeed. Inner strength you have and your family and friends will reinforce it with you.By the way, Denny may be great and good for ratings, but you need to know and truly understand and know in your heart that men like Denny may NOT be the person for you. You are and will always be on this "journey" and need someone who has empathy and understanding and not shame of or for you.Be strong and know that we can do it!!A fellow southerner by birth!!!

28. hi ruby i just wanted to let you no that i love your show very much! Girl when i watch you i start to smile because you are so determined to lose the weight that you have to lose! You have a wonderful support system and they are wonderful! Sorry to hear about your dad passing but i am glad you got back on track. Denny is not the man for you and i am so glad that you seen that! But i just wanted to let you no that i am going to continue to follow your show what i want you to no is that you are a inspriration to alot of people and you are one of GOD CHOSEN ONES! YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL TESTIMONEY! SATAN WILL TRY TO GET YOU OFF TRACK BUT YOU STILL CONTINUE TO LEAN ON YOUR SUPPORT SYSTEM WHICH IS GOD BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM NOTHING IS POSSIBLE AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST YOUR WONDERFUL FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
Gail Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 6:09 PM
29. Dear Ruby, So happy to have you back. My sincere sympathies on the loss of your father. Dads have a special place in our lives that no one else can hold. Your idea to journal instead of eat is a wonderful one. Hold true to it. I'm on a similar journey, though I "only" had 100 pounds to lose. I'm down 29 so far. If you're over Denny, then have visits, but don't ever think you can get "it back." There will always be doubt. You learned that last season! Your getting fit has to be #1. When you are close to your goal then you can look at adding "other stuff," but know that "other stuff" will make it even harder to maintain progress toward your goal. Your fitness coach should know it's time for a change if he allowed you to stop walking and exercising. There MUST be variety in activity programs for anyone to be able to stay true to it! I so adore you! You have the kind of personality that is "friend through the TV," very hard to do. Can't wait for next week!
Vicki Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 6:24 PM
30. I just got caught up with the first episode of the second season and, I must say Ruby, I am so glad to see you back on television. I don't even know you, but I FEEL like I know you, and I just love you and your friends. I'm a fan! You have the most beautiful face! It's your sweet and fun personality, though, that comes shining through and makes people want to know you! Thank you for all of your tips and inspiring thoughts. I'm awfully sorry about the loss of your dad. I, too, lost my dad last year (to emphysema, not diabetes...doesn't matter what, it's never pretty) and I wish, 18 months later, I could fill up the hole with somebody or something he left behind but I'm trying instead to put a light down it and get out of the darkness because, you know what Ruby, that's how our dads would want to be remembered...love and light. Sending best wishes and lotsa love, love, love! A cyber friend in California, Vicki

31. Ruby-you have started a journey that is helping many others. I have been inspired by your journey. I did not have as much weight to loose as you do, but I still have over 100 lbs. to loose. I always thought that it was an impossible task, but you have shown me that it isn't. I have lost 25 lbs so far, and I couldn't have done it without your inspiration. Thank you very much. I am with you all the way!! The loss of your father is devistating, but know this, he is looking down on and watching you continue on your incredible journey. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jan Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 6:29 PM
32. HI Ruby......Have been checking out your show since the beginning. Happy you are losing the weight. I have lots of health issues and at this time I am weighing 275......I did weigh in at one point at 305. I lost my mom a few years back and then my 2 sisters died within 5 months that was back in 2008. Like you I have been having bouts of depression and then with my arthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetes, and other ailments it is not feasible to exercise as much as I would like to. But slowly but surely I am learning to eat healthier. After watching your show you gave me the drive and determination to do better and stick with what is healthy and what will work for me. Good luck with your journey as I will be traveling to my destination.
Janet Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 6:29 PM
33. Ruby, you are so pretty and Iove to hear you talk. You have come so far and done so good, keep up the great job. You have really motivated me to do something for my self. I had one knee replacement and have to have the other one done, mostly because of the weight I have carried around all my life. I have been on every diet program there is and watching your show makes me realize that it has to be for life, not just a diet to lose now. Love your show The first show back tonite was awesome!!!!
Jessica Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 6:33 PM
34. Ruby, I am so excited for you. I will be with you and rooting you on every step of the way. So sorry for the loss of your Dad and your doggie but I know you will overcome any and all obstacles to reach your goals. Stay focused! You can do it!!!!
Cathy Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 7:13 PM
35. Ruby, you are amazing. I just watched your show and it really struck a chord. My husband of 25 years died Jan. 12, 2007 and I still haven't gotten over it. Previously, I had lost 140 lbs and was doing very well. But, since then, I have lost my motivation. I can't seem to get moving again and have already gained almost 20 lbs. I'm afraid I'll gain it all back, hopefully, after watching your show I can get back up out of my giant recliner. You are an inspiration. Please don't let this derail you, because you are so beautiful inside and out. Be well and take care, I'll be watching.
Al Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 8:03 PM
36. Hello: I've watched some of the show with my wife Maria. Good Luck to you Ruby. My observation is why are the trainers letting Ruby wear such non-supportive footwear if her kness hurt so much, if I'm wrong i sincerely apologize. As I said before GOOD LUCK on YOUR JOURNEY. Al
Jamie Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 8:36 PM
37. Ruby, I watched the show tonight! You are so inspiring and down to earth. You have touched the lives of those around you and those across the nation. You may be on our tv screen but you have become a friend to and voice for so many of us struggling with weight, emotional baggage from childhood or anytime in life....where emotional eating was triggered. Keep up the fight girl! You have great friends and family! You are not alone in this fight....keep it up!
Debbie Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 8:51 PM
38. Hi Ruby!!! I feel so blessed to have found out about you and your journey!! Your show tonight was so honest and real. I have been an emotional eater all my life. Watching you work through the emotional issues that come up and not eating, but working through them is so powerful and encouraging beyond anything I can tell you!!! You are so sweet and down to earth. Ruby, I just love you...........I hope one day I can meet you in "real life." God Bless you Ruby, you encourage me so much!!!
katie Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 8:54 PM
39. ruby you are just the most beautiful person. you will loose the weight and you will always be beautiful no matter how much you weigh never forget that. i saw the season permiere and there are tons of people aross the nation and if anyone says anything about you remember what i said. thousands of people agree with me so if 1 person says something bad about you, just think there are thousands of people who love you!! keep fighting and dont give up i believe in you. keep up the good work and congrats on already loosing 104 pounds!! **
Nicole Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 9:02 PM
40. Ruby, hang in there. I lost my dad quite suddenly in May. I still cry at least once a day and knew exactly what you meant about just wanting to sleep and about not caring. Seeing you refocus yourself has given me the push I need to get back on track myself. I'll be praying for you and just know that it's okay to cry and it's okay to laugh and celebrate. God bless you.
sandy Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 9:05 PM
41. I've been watching some of your shows. I want to see you win the war of weight. The one thing that makes me change the channel on your show is your whining. I can only hear so much of it and off you go. It just grates on my nerves too much. I'll keep watching as much as I can and wish you all the luck. Maybe, when you reach your goal, you won't need to whine anymore.
Danielle Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 9:20 PM
42. Ruby I am so proud of you, you have come a long way. I can tell the difference from before and now and it is amazing. You are a beautiful person inside and out and don't let anyone tell you different. I am sorry for your loss as well. I lost my father when I was 3, you were very lucky to have your dad in your life and just remember he lives in you now and he would be so proud of you with how far you have come. Things happen for a reason and in these kind of things it makes you stronger and know that with friends and family and God you can get through anything. I just wanted to let you know that you are so wounderful on television and I bet in person as well and I wanted to thank you for being an insparation to those who feel they can't do it. You show people that if you put yourself into it you can do anything. I am so so so so proud of you and I know you can do it and each day you get stronger and stronger. So Proud Danielle in Michigan

Liz Sun, Jul 5, 2009, 11:52 PM
44. Dear Ruby, I have been watching your show from the very beginning. In 2002 I had a Gastric bybass and lost 140 lbs. * 50 of which I have gained back since then. I have been desperately trying to lose it. This year in May (5th) I lost my dad, just like you. I miss his desperately!! I just keep gaining weight... I want so much to get back to where I was (130). I feel as if I have NO CONTROL over my weight or my size in general. I went to a "FAT CHICK" store today, only to find out that I am now a size 18 again... I have a skirt in my closet that is size 4. WTF. I don't eat a lot. I know I don't eat enough to justify a 10 size weight change!! i eat NORMAL! WHY???!!!??? Why don't I gain weight normally? I know you are asking the same question, so if you find the answer please send it to me. Because I really need to know...Why are we so FAT?!?!?!?

46. Hi RubyI am so sorry for the loss of your father. I too lost my beloved father not too long ago and I know how it hurts. Your father can be your inspiration to continue to fight for your health. You know he loved you and would want only the best for you. He'd want you to be healthy and happy. I love your show and I have been cheering you on since the first season. I am so proud of you. Your lovely personality comes right through the television. May GOD always bless you keep you. I will pray for you that you will be able to eventually make peace with the passing of your father and that you have continued succcess with your health.
Michelle Adams Mon, Jul 6, 2009, 7:15 AM
47. Wasn't able to attend the premier in Savannah, but I tuned in and watch your episode on TV. I knew about your father's passing, but I cried when you talked about him in the episode. I had no idea how much pain you were in. I'm so sorry. I lost my dad 4 years ago, and hearing you made me revisit the feelings I had. I had forgotten some of those intense feelings of grief and sorrow I had. It would have been so easy just to give up. I'm so glad you got back on track after all that happened. I saw the previews and I thought you were thinking about Denny again, but after the show I was happy to see that you are on to him and won't let him in that easy. Your friends are awesome. It's great to have people that really have your back, and aren't afraid to tell you the truth. Georgia, Jeff, and the Rascal Flatts guy really told Denny!Love you Ruby! Keep on and I can't wait to see how much you've lost now.MichelleSavannah, GA

48. Hi Ruby,I am so sorry to here about the loss of your father. I lost my mother in Feb. Her and I were losing weight together. I had lost 30lbs so far, when she passed away I gave up tring and didn't want to do anything just like you. Than I thought that is not what my mom would want me to do so I started over again and am doing ok. I ask her for help. So what I am tring to say to you is keep up the good work you have come so far and your dad is proud of you and would want you to contuine on this journey. You have been a great insperation to me. I love your show and glad that its back. Remember your dad is always with you. You can do this you have a great support staff. Keep on going down the scale.Barb
