Living It Up With lia sophia Jewelry

The tagline for lia sophia reads, "Share the love of jewelry," and on Saturday, the popular company did exactly that with an annual clambake held at a private residence overlooking the ocean in Malibu. As the DJ mixed Michael Jackson songs into her playlist, guests, including Elise Neal, Lisa Rinna and hubby Harry Hamlin, Mena Suvari and Lindsay Lohan, vibed off the ocean air and the scrumptious stuffed clams and lobster rolls. Well, Lindsay, not so much. (See what we mean on E! Online and watch the video.)
Stylist Rachel Zoe, one of the party's several cohosts (along with Jessica Meisels and Estella Warren), was a real standout in a graphic Pucci caftan and wedges—especially since everyone else wore the standard L.A. uniform: sundresses, rompers and fedoras.
But what really drew the crowd was the bling-tastic line that lia sophia was gifting guests.
The company claims Cape Town III, the third line devoted to the South African destination (the first has a quieter palette and Cape Town II is more boho), reflects the city's "laid-back elegance," "eclectic culture" and "strong connection to nature." Sure, that's all there—but take a look at the glossy enamel and brilliant crystals in the pieces shown above. The terrain necklace, sunburst rings, open-link bracelet and pavé bangles pictured ($200 and up) don't seem to be fashioned from nature as we know it. It's nature enhanced! Bigger, brighter, better! Just like Malibu.
Which is why designer Dani Stahl's creations are so popular in Hollywood. As Mena and others slipped on the baubles and preened, no doubt they were transported back to afternoons spent playing dress-up. Like kids in a candy store, they sampled and kept coming back for more. The jewelry company, which also has a much less expensive, less Hollywood line sold by some 30,000 reps, stresses that you can wear these pieces on dressy occasions or at more casual events. In other words, even with your rompers and fedoras.
