    1. I watched the 1st episode of the new season of How Do I Look-and all i have to say is Really??? It was just awful.what the heck is that stupid machine that sucks up the bad clothes?? bring back Finola and the way it was-this is just bad-people hiding behind mirrors...a host that can make fun of someone style-when she should look at the blue streaks in her hair...really-and the one accomplice who couldn't introduce her best friend to her mother?? shame on her and the show for dignifying it!!

    2. While I don't miss Finola, I have to agree with the rest of Cheryl's post."Change that crazy style of yours and look professional!" says the small woman sporting blue hair streaks with a neon belt, matching nail polish and and extravagant detail on her right shoulder. They took Crystal's unique style, gutted it, and replaced it with trendy staples that will be outdated and goodwill material within 3 mos. And the friend had to be the most shallow...I can understand adding a much needed dose of chic to her wardrobe, but I saw barely any "Crystal" by the end of the episode. **

    4. im definitely more on the conservative side, but i liked her style better before! she had funky style, true, but she pulled it together very well. and of course, every piece of any outfit looks silly when singled out. but when she put it together, it looked interesting and unique, not intimidating. this before pic has a clear theme, and she looks like a runway model. i guess Jeannie Mai only understands fashion for the average, not high fashion. all the attacks on her style were very rude and hurtful, in my opinion. very disappointed in this show. plus, Jeannie Mai looked pretty ridiculous at times. Crystal had better style before her makeover than Jeannie Mai did for the entire show, yet she was the one who was attacked the entire time. this was horrible. even regular people who dont dress like "freaks" can see that what they did with her was wrong. she should go back to the old way she dressed, it looked much better.

    5. Sista yourself but you suck! The show has lost all it's warmth and it's class thanks to tiic and you as host. Count this viewer tuning out.

    6. Crystal! Don't let them change you! You and your unique-ness are beautiful! I am watching your episode as I type. DON"T LET THEM CHANGE YOU!

    7. I don't want to personally attack anyone associated with this new "improved" version of this show, but honestly, where are the improvements? I feel as if they took 10 steps back and lost what little compassion the show used to hold. It was a very cold show to watch and if I could get that hour of my life back, I would gladly pay to get it back.

    8. Well, I tuned in to see HDIL and thought I had mistakenly stumbled onto a Nickolodeon show. It was more like ICarly or Zach and Cody. What's the target audience for HDIL, 10-14? I pay the cable bill in my house and the target audience is apparently not me, so I promptly turned HDIL off. Once again, another great show with a former quality host is ruined.

    9. WOW! Reading some of these comments is hilarious! I watch the show for the STYLE not whether or not the people on the show make me feel warm and fuzzy. Let's be honest, the only job Crystal would get dressing like she did would be working retail at Hot Topic. And regardless of what some of the die-hard fans of the show say, I liked Jeannie Mai as a host and I thought her outfits were FANTASTIC. I just wish Style would tell us where she got HER clothes!!

    10. I am not a fan of the new format and host of How Do I look. Its way too young and silly. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, with the changes that Style network has made but it seems a little cruel to call Crystal a "Freak of the week."

    11. i have to go with the majority on this one. showing crystal how to dress professionally in order to further her career is one thing. completely shredding her style and making her a clone of what every other girl is wearing, leaving only hints of her uniqueness is totally different. that takes it from makeover show and tips it right on in to the shallow end of the pool. i really am not feeling the crude, downright hurtful style of ms.mai. i miss finola, and the tact and compassion for people's feelings she tempered the show with.

  • Really, Marie? Thu, Aug 6, 2009, 2:50 PM

    12. The majority of these people here are aware that Crystal's clothes before were unprofessional, and and a times, innapropriate. However. What we're saying is that they could've made Crystal a more chic version of herself while building off of her personal style. You seem to also think the way the host acted was appropriate? How would you like it if someone took your style, ripped it to shreds, criticized you without a second thought and turned into the token "trend-hopper"? It would've been different if they at least put her into timeless pieces.Yeah...I'll be sticking to Clinton and Stacey, thanks.

  • YUP, IT'S CRYSTAL. Thu, Aug 6, 2009, 8:17 PM

    13. My oh my!I've been reading since it aired fighting the temptation to leave a comment.Though Jeannie toootttaalllyy ****** me off at one point during the show, she is not an evil person. Theres alot of undeserved Jeannie bashing goin on folks. I meanit's her job to throw jabs * my style, it's TV. I think the intense stares between us w/ the dramatic musicwere funi. All my friends loved it. Don't worry I haven't turned into a trendy robot. I'm still me justwith a little twist. I kept the hair but colored it red. NYC was f*cking amazing. For that alone the VERY painful three hr process of getting that weave. I'd do it again in a heart beat. PS! to all the ppl who came up to me today while i was shoppin in downtown LA w/ possitive feedback, Thanx! It was really cool. If u c me on the street, say wut up?www.myspace.com/crystalsbidnis

    16. I just watched Crystal from this episode on another TV show called Parental Control on MTV. I'm wondering if these "How Do I Look" contestants are even real...or are they acting it up. I think Crystal is just looking for her big break. Watching the show on MTV kind of ruined the credibility of How Do I Look. * *

  • L Fri, Oct 9, 2009, 9:03 PM

    17. Wow. Huge overreactions... Jeannie Mai is a fine new host, and I definitely feel that the show's been reinvigorated. Hey, I liked Finola, but Finola's style and even the way the show was shot, it all felt very...old. Classic is one thing, but the old format was such a drag. Jeannie Mai jokes with contestants the same way Finola did; just because there aren't as many tears from the host this time around doesn't mean it's lacking compassion. Stacy and Clinton are ten times harsher (and more hilarious) and somehow that's better?

    18. I'm getting really upset with shows like this and tough love were they told their cast that they cannot be accepted by common society unless they change themselves to blend into the background. Personality like Crystals' and Rockys' are what this society is lacking. Shame on everyone involved with setting these so called fashion standards. I agree that there is a time and a place for everything, but I guess you have to join em' in order to beat em'.

    19. Crystal was also in the MTV show Parental Control. I just watched it few minutes ago. Those who have watched Parental Control knows the show are staged. Is How Do I Look staged too?
