How to Give Pale Skin a Golden Glow?

L'Oreal True Match Bronze Glow

My skin is so pale, it's almost translucent. Should I use bronzers? Are there any made especially for pale people and their skin?

Style Spy Says: Berry

First things first: A bronzing powder for you may prove problematic. Yes, Benefit makes some wonderful bronzers by which people swear, and the offerings from Larénim, Therapy Systems and Colorescience are also more than impressive, even for pale skin. But layering will be key for you, and in general, sheer gels, creams and liquids give you more control over your color.

Second, consider your skin tone. If you don't tan naturally, then of course bronzers are going to look odd on you, especially if your makeup job stops at your neck. Your hands, arms, legs—they will all remain as pale as ever. However, if you're determined to darken, start with good old L'Oréal. With nine shades, their True Match Bronze Glow bronzer collection is truly diverse. There's also Bronzy Babe, which works on even the palest tones. Or check out Josie Maran's Bronzing Argan Oil. It's infinitely layerable, lightweight—and hard to live without!

Just don't forget the rest of your body, or you'll look literally half-baked.
