Beauty & Hair Tips From Fashion Week

In between the shows, celebs and editors have been flocking into suites for some instant touch-up beautification. Nicky Hilton had her tresses tended at Byron & Tracey at the Showtime House Beauty Bar while The Style Network's own Giuliana Rancic got made up with Urban Decay makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan. Katy Perry and Lauren Conrad bejeweled themselves with lia sophia's fab new collection at Alice + Olivia's boutique (see how happy Katy looks here?) and editors have been using the laptops at HauteLook lounge to type up their Fashion Week dish. Stephanie Pratt, clad in lia sophia, stocked up on Tt mates intimate apparel from contemporary brand Tt Collection at the Nintendo DSi Studio. There I caught up with the beauty experts at Oscar Blandi and Sephora to bring you some tips for looking dewy fresh, whether its during Fashion Week or any day in your hectic lives.

"If your hair is falling flat and you want you to give it a boost and get the volume back but don't have tools, try a dry shampoo," says Oscar Blandi hairstylist Jason Christopher. "Oscar Blandi's takes the oil out and gives you lift. Flip your hair over and pour the product in your hand and massage it at the roots of your hair. Then flip back for instant body."

As for makeup, always work on your brows. "When you fill your brows, you're framing your face and focusing on your eyes," Sephora makeup artist Sherlyn Mosaurieta explains. "The key is to put a matte brow highlighter under the brow and rub it in to create a natural luminousity to perk up the eyes." She tried it on my Fashion Week-worn face, and trust me, it works!
