Why Is Samantha Jones Wearing a Wedding Dress?

When we first saw Kim Cattrall in a bridal gown on the set of SATC 2, our initial thought was that an off-white number would've been, er, more appropriate. Why the heck is Samantha Jones wearing a wedding dress, anyway?! Our guess is that it's part of a flashback scene and she's a runaway bride (note the Ugg boots). What do you think?
