You finally collapse under the covers after a long day, but the minute your head touches the pillow you start thinking of all the things you have to do tomorrow. We've all been there. But bedtime mind racing is preventable.
Before you go to sleep each night, take ten minutes to list out everything you need to do the following day, in order of importance. I keep mine in a MemoPad on my BlackBerry—that way, I always have my list at hand and can add items on the go.
Too overwhelmed to get started? Try reading Rory Tahari's Lists for Life. The book is full of tips on handling the most stressful situations, from buying a car to raising children.
At the end of your daily list you should always have one thing that's now achievable: Get a sound night's sleep!
