LuxLash Extensions: The Secret to Instantly Longer Lashes!

I love the look of voluminous lashes as much as the next girl, but you wouldn't know it, given my track record. I'm terrible at following through with any beauty regimen: I don't bother using nightly eyelash treatments; I don't wear mascara because it's a pain to scrub off; and I have no patience for gluing on falsies. But when LuxLash, a specialty salon for lashes and brows, offered to apply lash extensions on me at their Beverly Hills location, I jumped at the chance—and, boy, was it awesome!

LuxLash Salon

A lash technician applied single strands of synthetic lashes one at a time to my regular set for about 90 minutes, as I lay comfortably on a reclined chair. The procedure was so relaxing that I dozed off! I awoke to find big eyes with thick, long lashes staring back at me from the mirror. They looked so natural. I remember feeling extremely happy. I was never the girl who had full, flirty lashes, and suddenly I was!

Since leaving the salon, my extensions have stayed on (they're supposed to last about two months, BTW) thanks to the strong adhesive that was used in the application process. I've been able to shower as usual—I just have to tilt my head back when I use shampoo or conditioner, because I can't do anything that'll cause me to rub my eyes. As far as eye makeup, I really don't have to wear any. The lashes do a superb job of bringing out my eyes.

You can wear eyeliner and mascara. Just make sure they're not the waterproof kind. (Your aesthetician will teach you how to remove makeup using a cotton swab and oil-free cleanser.) Other major don'ts: Don't use a curler, don't bury your face in your pillow, and don't touch! I've been able to follow these rules relatively easily.

My only complaint is that it takes longer to moisturize my eye area because I can't get any creams near my new and improved lashes. That part's annoying, especially in the mornings, since I tend to have really dry skin.

Bottom Line: The semi-permanent service is not cheap at $395, but if you've always wished you had amazing lashes, you should definitely consider getting LuxLash Extensions. You're paying for skillfully applied lashes that will do wonders for your confidence. Plus, you get a complimentary touch-up seven days after the application. Yep, free lashes will be added on in case any of them shed off prematurely!

    1. i love lash extensions- ive had the luck of finding an affordable salon ($25 per visit) and they last about a week. i warn others of going to a salon that hasnt been a recommendation from friends/coworkers because experimenting with lash salons that are not very skilled can result in discomfort, premature shedding of extensions, eye infection, and loss of your own lashes( they take a while to grow bk). you could also visit a m.a.c. store (one of my favorites) and they will apply them for you (after your purchase) and then just pay close attention to how they apply them so you can do them yourself from then on

    2. I have also found them at a affordable price. But I can say that they were not worth it. It was to much to worry about. You have to becareful with what you wear if you sweat, while you take a shower, when rubbing your eyes, if you want to play your eyes up with make up, on top of that when I washed my face, what products I used to wash my face. Too Much!!!! And I found myself to be in the salon every week for about an hour. They looked gorgeous, I guess for some one who has kids Its just not worth it.
