Because we're talking about our beloved Michelle Obama, this fashion critique will take the form of a compliment sandwich. Here we go...
The first lady brought a much-needed dose of color to a rainy Veterans Day in Arlington, Va., with her lovely teal tweed J.Crew coat. It worked beautifully with the Maria Pinto frock she wore underneath.
But we so could've done without the black cutout belt and matching patent leather boots. What was she thinking?! They totally ruin the look. A pair of black pumps would've been enough to winterize the outfit.
Then again, her makeup and hair looked really pretty!

3. This outfit was totally inappropriate for a ceremony commerating those who lost their lives defending our country. Everyone else in the photo is appropriately attired and she looks ridulous in comparison to those around her. Very poor judgement was used here. How could she not know better?

6. First MO is not "our beloved". Our First Lady does not know how to dress. Contrary to the fashion media's fawning our FL continues to embarrass herself by making a spectacle of herself. Veteran's Day is a sober day. Historically people draped their windows in black * It is a time for reflection. It is not a celebration of veterans but a time of acknowledgment of their sacrifice. It is unseemly for the FL and her entourage to be giddy with laughter on the podium. Her outfit was completely inappropriate for the occasion and was ugly. Mrs Obama lacks the grace and intelligence to understand that her going rogue with her clothing reflects badly on her, her husband and her upbringing.

7. The belt and the boots were a bad idea, I agree. But, I disagree with some of the vipers onboard digging up archaic customs as ammunition towards a lovely lady that has done more for the community in 8 months than Laura Bush did in 8 years. But, thats ok. We Michelle's don't get that kind of pass. We came to earth with the wrong level of melanin. Anywhoo, she was not attending a funeral. She was attending a memorial service celebrating the service of some of the greatest americans to ever live and die for their country. Obama 2012!
