From bracelets to rings to arm bands, snake accessories are slithering into the hearts of Hollywood's fiercest fashionistas. Just take a look at Mary-Kate Olsen and Amanda Bynes, above, who are wearing stylish serpents around their necks.

"Snake jewelry conjures up an Old Hollywood glamour that can be traced back to Elizabeth Taylor's days as Cleopatra," explains How Do I Look? stylist and Modern Girl Jess Zaino. "It tells the world you're mysterious, cunning and sexy with a bit of bite."

Vixens who like to coil up with the venomous creatures should avoid wearing a related trend, snakeskin, or risk being "bitten horribly by bad style." Zaino explains that accessories of the snake variety—shoes, handbags or jewelry—serve as statement pieces, and those should be restricted to just one per ensemble. Otherwise, feel free to rock your reptilian fancy.
