Kicking Off L.A. Fashion Week With Natalie Cole

Paris and Milan may have had Lindsay Lohan but we'll take Natalie Cole over Lilo any day. Last night, the legendary singer helped kick off L.A. Fashion Week at Fashion Group International of Los Angeles' (FGILA) bi-annual Meet the Designers & Their Muses.
We were shocked to hear that Nat King Cole's daughter had never been a muse before! "I'm very excited," she said of the honor of being designer Lloyd Klein's inspiration. And boy was she inspiring, in a vibrant gown with beautiful draping, one of Klein signatures.
"I feel very exotic, feminine and very sexy. It's really such a lovely feeling," Natalie said of the dress, which was the perfect piece for St. Patrick's Day. "The color just happened to be a coincidence," the designer added with a smile.
Other designers at the event included Nony Tochterman (of Petro Zillia), who's muse was Samaire Armstrong, Jenny Han, Sue Wong and Elizabeth Mason. Proceeds benefited the FGILA Foundation, which provides scholarship grants to local fashion school students so they can be the next generation of designers celebrating with their muses.
