Dan Lawler
Age: 23
Occupation: Coin Salesman
Status: Taken, No Kids
Though the occupation of a coin salesman may sound like it should be reserved for a boring man with zero personality, Dan has proven that having a seemingly boring job doesn't necessarily make you the mayor of Dullsville. We can safely call Dan the funniest coin salesman we've ever met—he's also the only coin salesman we've ever met, but does that really matter? The idea for Dan's recipe came from his girlfriend. They call it "Lazy Man's Lasagna," but we prefer "Sexy Man's Lasagna."
Lazy Man's Lasagna
1 medium-sized package of cheese-stuffed tortellini
4-6 spicy sausages
1 8 ounce package of shredded mozzarella cheese
1 8 ounce package of shredded cheddar cheese
1 small shaker or package of parmesan cheese
1 medium-sized jar of chunky marinara sauce
1 jar crushed garlic
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a skillet with a dash of olive oil and warm over medium heat; add spicy sausages and cook thoroughly. Add water to a large pot and bring to a boil; add tortellini and cook according to package instructions. When tortellini is cooked, drain water and set aside. Add cheese to warm pasta; stir. Incorporate cooked sausages and marinara sauce. Add garlic and other desired spices (suggestion: cayenne pepper, black pepper, oregano, hot sauce). Stir well. While still warm, empty entire contents into an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Heat dish in the oven until cheese is melted. Let your date see you take a hot, steaming, delicious dish out of the oven so you look like a pro!
Anup Sugunan
Age: 35
Occupation: Graphic Designer
Status: Married, No Kids
Anup (pronounced Anoo) was born in India but grew up in Texas. Perhaps it's the combination of the two cultures that is responsible for his love of spicy foods—he says he likes to set off the fire alarm every time he cooks! A graphic designer by day and a singer/songwriter by night, Anup enjoys cooking for his wife when he's not out enjoying another one of his favorite pastimes: Ultimate Frisbee. Anup's dish comes to us with the help of his mom and dad, who both gave him a little instruction when creating the recipe.
Shornur Machli (Vegetable and Halibut Medley)
10 ounce piece of Halibut
1 onion
1 carrot
1/2 cup frozen peas
1 teaspoon pataks (secret ingredient)
Sprinkle of Italian herbs
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (can vary for spice preference)
Salt to taste
1/2 cup basmati rice
Boil 2:1 water to rice for 7 minutes, then simmer until water has evaporated. Chop onion into fine slices; sauté with 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper in a skillet until golden brown. Remove onion from pan and set aside. Add pataks on one side of the halibut. Place halibut in same pan onion was grilled in; gently rock back and forth until browned. Boil vegetables for 4 minutes, until slightly tender. Assemble fish and vegetables over 1/4 cup of rice.
Emy Onyesoh
Age: 25
Occupation: Singer/Songwriter
Status: Taken, No Kids
Who doesn't want to watch this R&B-riffing Irishman cook and croon? Emy is originally from Dublin, and even though his music has taken him far away from his roots, he still has recipes from his childhood to remind him of home. Emy credits his mother for teaching him everything he knows about cooking. This recipe is Irish comfort food and one of Emy's faves.
Roast Beef with Potatoes and Carrots
1 pound beef roast
1 tablespoon rosemary
1 tablespoon basil
1 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
Pepper
Garlic
5 rustic potatoes
Olive oil
1- 2 cups carrots
Season meat overnight with rosemary, basil, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic. Add olive oil and wrap meat. When ready to cook, place meat in a roasting pan and cook for about 3 hours on a low heat so its nice and soft. Cooking time varies depending on the weight of the meat. Add potatoes to cook with the meat about one hour before the meat is finished cooking. Baste the potatoes and meat with the warm olive oil about halfway through cooking. In a separate pot, boil carrots until soft.

1. You put up the wrong recipe for Anup. He made Orange Roughy covered in a hot red curry paste and seared in a pan with rice and carrots. Where did the halibut with vegetable medley come from?
