The fashion site Red Carpet Fashion Awards updates with fresh pictures of everyone from Angelina Jolie to Aubrey O'Day 24/7. But the face behind the blog has her faves: "Cate Blanchett is my red carpet queen," London-based blogger Catherine Kallon tells mystyle. "But if she has a bad day on the red carpet, I'm always honest in my critique."

Indeed, Cate the Great (in Givenchy) makes Catherine's top three celebrity red carpet looks of all time. Halle Berry (in Atelier Versace) and Kate Winslet (in Ben de Lisi) are runner-ups. But if she had the money, Catherine would dress like Dita von Teese. "She always looks immaculate," she explains. "I like very ladylike, prim, proper pieces, which is why Roland Mouret's sophisticated, timeless pieces blow my mind."

When you're looking at celebrities as much as Catherine does, you pick up on current trends. The blogger recommends wearing au courant nudes but says no to thigh-high boots—unless you're Lady Gaga or Kate Moss, who in her opinion can get away with anything.

You cover celebrities around the globe. What are the main differences you see between American actresses and British actresses in term of fashion?
I think the only difference is that if you are not Thandie Newton or Sienna Miller, you probably have less designers to available to you.

In your opinion, who has been best dressed so far this year?
Drew Barrymore had a fantastic run promoting Grey Gardens, but the only person who has really wowed me was Jennifer Connelly in her green sequined Balmain dress.

Worst dressed?
Worst dress is a tie between Jessica Biel and Beyoncé at the Oscars [this year].

How on earth do you always know what everyone is wearing?
It is a mixture of many things:

1. Photographic memory from studying style.com.

2. Distinctive designer styles, which are easy to spot: Balmain padded shoulders; Alexander McQueen geometric prints;  Miu Miu Roman prints;  Marc Jacobs metallics;  Roland Mouret origami folds; Louis Vuitton tribal meets oriental; Elise Overland zips; Giambattista Valli volume and ruffles.

3. Celebrity affiliations: Charlize Theron: Dior and Lanvin; Renée Zellweger: Carolina Herrera; Victoria Beckham: her own collection; Thandie Newton: British designers; Teri Hatcher: Monique Lhuillier.

4. My readers help me a lot. Some clearly know more than I do. I'm not so great with shoes, but I am working on that.
