Pantry Raid Header

Style Shows

Each week on Pantry Raid, Chef Michael Schulson works with novice cooks to prepare an extraordinary meal—using only the ingredients they already have on hand! Read on for the elegant recipes he created with How Do I Look? host Finola Hughes this week.

Chicken in Chinese Plum Sauce
4 chicken breasts
1 cup plum jam
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon olive oil

Marinate chicken in plum jam, soy sauce, sesame oil and olive oil. Cook on flat-top stove or frying pan for about 7 minutes on each side, OR sear for 3 minutes on each side and then finish in a 375-degree oven for 10 minutes.

Round out your meal with the other dishes featured in this episode: Hot and Sour Soup, Flaked Sole Fried Rice and Asian Vegetable Medley. Yum!

    3. I'm sure you've heard this suggestion before and are probably working on it, but I just have to put my two cents in. After watching a few of your shows for the first time this morning, I found myself trying to pull something together in my head from my own pantry. Have you thought of having a site that people can list their pantry/refrigerator ingredients on with their style and purpose of the meal is, and then having recipes pop up with directions on how to prepare the meal? I think you would have a TREMENDOUS response to something like that. Thanks, Theresa Atlanta, GA

    18. I just started watching this program. I usually get my recipes from FoodNetwork. I really like the way he just pulls everything out &uses only things from the fridge and pantry to make the whole meal. I like the idea Theresa from Atlanta had about having a site or link where people can list their pantry/refrigerator ingredients on with their style and purpose of the meal is, and then having recipes pop up with directions on how to prepare the meal? Anyway....good job.. I'm a fan....donna, Gainesville, GA
