TREND: Studded peep-toes
WHO'S WEARING IT: Nicky Hilton, Ashley Tisdale and Diane Kruger all heart Christian Louboutin's Very Prive Peep-Toe Pumps.
HOW TO WEAR IT: Unlike the studded boot from last season, the peep-toe adds a touch of femininity, making it a more versatile shoe. Use it to add edge to a flirty dress or simple pencil skirt and tee. Or, just pair it with your favorite jean. You can throw a leather jacket into the mix but unless you're itching for a Fashion DUI, limit any additional rocker chic accessories.
The Louboutin costs $995 (it's sold out), but we found a steal 'n' splurge for much less!

Everyone couldn't help but notice that Rihanna was channeling '80s icon Grace Jones for this striking cover of Italian Vogue. The photo also explained why she'd been sporting a shaved head. But somehow we feel we've seen this persona before. If you ask us, Rihanna captured the crown for cutting-edge fashion a long time ago. Although she's just a stunningly beautiful girl in girlie fashions, when it comes to wacky wardrobes, she wears it well. Shaved head, spikes, leather and chains—that's just Rihanna!

TREND: Zebra print
WHO'S WEARING IT: Nicky Hilton, Kim Kardashian (Tart) & Adrienne Bailon
HOW TO WEAR IT: Keep the rest of your ensemble simple when wearing the flashy pattern. (Adrienne's sheer lace top and skintight latex leggings? Total fail!) For a fresh look, incorporate more white into your outfit and accessorize with modern accessories like Kim did. To give off an edgy vibe, pair zebra print with mostly black pieces à la leather-lovin' Nicky.

I'm having a casual daytime wedding, so a big froufrou dress won't work. I would like a simple, lightweight, comfortable dress that's still going to make me feel special. Any ideas?
—Lindsay, Los Angeles
Without more details on your "special day," as planners so condescendingly call it, there's not much I can offer in the way of specifics. Daytime outdoor weddings fall all over the map. There are casual backyard affairs manned by taco trucks and decked with deli plates, and there are multimillion-dollar juggernauts staged amid Greek ruins or atop elegant Venetian palazzos. Any of those could be called "casual" by someone.
So let's start with the high end.

Max Azria brought bandage back into fashion with the popular Hervé Léger dress. But now, celebrities are taking the sexy wrapped style to a whole new level. Welcome to bandage on the edge. It's as if someone literally wraps fabric around only the parts of your body that need to be covered—a bit of Leighton Meester's butt cheek peeked out under her Emilio de la Morena at the MTV awards! Fergie upped the paneled effect of her velvety Marc Jacobs by strapping on Christian Louboutin Differa's platforms while in Japan.
If you want to be super-adventurous, get some thick ribbon at your local craft store and wrap it around American Apparel's micro-mesh mini, securing the fabric with a hot glue gun. Or…just shop the new bandage-inspired steals 'n' splurges below.

Most people can't afford to hire a personal stylist. That's where Lauren Messiah, the Fashion Kitty, comes in. In her blog, Ask Fashion Kitty, she provides shopping options for readers wondering what to wear with their latest purchases and how to dress like their fave television star. And she's brutally honest. She'll tell you what she likes about your look—and what you should change.
Lauren started her blog because she was "bored to tears" with her non-fashion-related job fresh out of college. When she's not answering questions, you can find her spotting trends on shopcasting network ThisNext. Her recommendations often reflect her self-described eclectic style. "My style is constantly changing, but right now I would say that I'm rocking the edgy girly-girl style," Fashion Kitty tells mystyle. "Although I did just ask a fellow blogger to describe my style, and he said I was a more refined Nancy (as in Sid and Nancy) combined with Penny Lane from Almost Famous."
Not surprisingly, the TV character Lauren relates best to is fellow fashion rule-breaker Jenny Humphrey from Gossip Girl. "I am definitely more likely to wear spikes than Tory Burch flats," she says. Speaking of spikes, check out Lauren's dangerously fierce steal in the gallery below, then keep reading to hear more of Fashion Kitty's secrets.

Exposed zippers are getting a feminine makeover this spring as they wind their way on dresses (even shoes!) in swirly, asymmetrical designs, as seen on Jessica Stroup, Aubrey O'Day and, just this week at the T-Mobile party, Nicky Hilton. The result? A look that's still edgy but a lot softer. Just keep the jewelry to a minimum—the metal embellishments are already bling-tastic. To get the look, shop the steals 'n' splurges gallery.
