Teri Polo

Meet the Parents star Teri Polo gave us a peek at her personal style during Kari Feinstein's Pre-Emmys Style Lounge...

Fashion Philosophy: I'm a jeans-and-T-shirt girl. I like True ReligionJoe's Jeans and Seven, and Hanes' plain white wifebeaters. I like fun jewelry. You can dress me up maybe once a year. I really love nice, clean lines. I don't like patterns. I like basic colors.

Fave Red Carpet Dress: I wore a pale cream dress to a Golden Globes afterparty years ago. It was the ultimate comfy yet elegant simple dress that I've worn.

Makeup Must-Have: I love Lauren Hutton's Face Disc. It has everything from cover-up to blush to lip gloss. The colors and textures are unbelievable!

Regina King

We caught up with actress Regina King (seen here at Fashion Week last spring) to get the dish on her personal style...

Denim Diva: I'm a jeans girl. I probably have about 40 pairs of jeans. I love J Brand and Lucky. Also, there's a little el cheapo store by my house that I like. It sells jeans for $29.99—you just have to try them 'cause even if you wear a size 4, they might be fitting like a 1!

Designer Shout-Out: I wish Richard Tyler was still designing. I have a bit of a butt and no hips. His stuff creates hips for me. His dresses fit me so perfectly that I'm forced into buying vintage Richard Tyler.

Fitness Fab: I just started this new class at Equinox in West Hollywood that Reebok and Cirque du Soleil did called Jukari. You're on the trapeze and it really works your core. It looks graceful, but it's hard to do!

Beauty Splurge: I spend way too much money on lip gloss, which shouldn't cost more than $5. Fresh, which is about 20 bucks, is my absolute favorite. I have their lip gloss all over the house, in every drawer!

Bristol 6 Hem Tape
StyleTest Drive

At five foot three, I rarely find a pair of jeans that I don't have to hem, so I was ecstatic when the boyfriend trend came along. I wouldn't have to spend $10 for tailoring. I could just peg 'em up and go. My wide-leg denim trousers, on the other hand, have been sitting in the closet all summer waiting to make their debut. I'd had success with Bristol 6's Stylin' Tape when securing my blouses, so I couldn't help but wonder if Bristol 6's Hem Tape would have the same magical effect.

AnnaLynne McCord, Rihanna, Hayden Panettiere
Mystyle Style Class: Au Courant

TREND: Denim dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: AnnaLynne McCord (Armani Exchange), Rihanna (Charley 5.0), Hayden Panettiere (Topshop)

HOW TO WEAR IT: While denim is inherently a casual fabric, a jean dress with a sexy silhouette is ultra modern. Don't you dare wear it with a denim jacket or a silly hat (ahem, Ri-Ri)—that's just tacky! Instead, top it off with a white blazer, like Hayden did, for a totally fresh look.

Ciara

Ciara gave us a peek at her personal style during Maxim's Hot 100 Party...

What She's Stylin': I don't know who made my dress, but I have on YSL shoes and I'm carrying a Jimmy Choo clutch.

Sex Symbol Status: Maxim is a very respectable magazine, and when they say you're hot, it's pretty cool! So, I'm enjoying the moment.

Body Boast: I like to show off my legs. I do squats and lunges to work them out.

Fashion Philosophy: I like to be comfortable. I like to do something different and take some risks, but I like to have fun and feel comfortable most of all.

Ideal Steal: I really like my new Levi's jeans.

Splurge Urge: Something I spend a lot on is shoes.

Stephanie Pratt, Christina Milian

Ever since Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears showed up to the 2001 American Music Awards in coordinating jean getups, double denim has made us cringe. But eight years later, we've decided to take another look. We're still not keen on a denim uniform, like Christina Milian's acid-wash jeans and matching jacket. But worn in different washes, denim on denim can look very modern—as Stephanie Pratt shows with an oversized light denim shirt and dark-wash jeans.

Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria Parker, Lo Bosworth
Mystyle Style Class: Casual

We're all for staying on top of the latest trends, but it's also nice to revisit casual classics. A button-up shirt tucked into jeans is an easy way to look put-together but still laid back. For a flattering shape, balance out the collared top with bootcut or flare denim like Eva Longoria Parker and Lo Bosworth do. You don't need a belt, but some type of heeled sandal is a must for longer-looking legs. While we love Kim Kardashian, this is one time we advise not following her style lead. The half-tucked shirt is sloppy and rolled-up skinnies aren't nearly as slimming as a wider-leg bottom, like the steals 'n' splurges you'll find by clicking through the gallery below.

Jessie Thorpe
Style Secret

Denimology launched three years ago, the end result of a search for the perfect pair of jeans. These days, it's grown into an online magazine dedicated to informing the world about everything denim—from new brands and trends to the latest celebrity style. The latter is where Jessie Thorpe comes in. As Denimology's Celebrity Fashion Watcher Extraordinaire, the blogger is always in the know about who's wearing what and how to get their look.

"Dylan George is an amazing new line seen on Ashley Tisdale, Lindsay Lohan and Kate Beckinsale," she tells mystyle. "Expect big things from them." The blogger is a proponent of designer denim. "I am an average size 10 woman, so I need jeans cut for my curvy body to avoid that dreaded gape at my back," she explains. But if you want to test a trend, say neon or jeans ripped to the point of no belief, then Jessie is fine with heading over to Wet Seal.

Speaking of trends, according to the denim expert you need to try a jean jacket or vest this summer. "Current/Elliott, Rich & Skinny and Helmut Lang are all doing timeless denim jackets that won't be out of style even after hanging in your closet for a couple seasons," she advises.

But the blogger isn't only about jeans. "Vanessa Hudgens wears great jeans and makes excellent use of accessories," she says. "In my opinion, that always makes or breaks your denim style." Check out the blogger's fave accessories below, then keep reading to hear more Denimology secrets—including shopping tips on finding your perfect pair of blues.

Mandy Moore
Mystyle Style Class: Casual

Mandy Moore's new album, Amanda Leigh (Buy it here!), may give the world a better glimpse at who she is as an artist, but the singer admits she's "schizophrenic" when it comes to fashion.

"I love the female music mavericks like Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell. I have that bohemian hippie in me," the newlywed tells mystyle. "Still, I can change my mind and go in a completely different direction at the drop of a hat."

The multi-talented star recently hung up her hat as designer of her clothing brand Mblem, which some speculated folded due to the bad economy. "I miss the opportunity of being able to create something as an avid shopper and fashion fan. But maybe it'll come back one day."

In the meantime, she supports her friends' denim line Current/Elliot. "I love all of their stuff—the boyfriend jean and the distressed, slouchy jean," she raves. "I'm a California girl, so I like jeans and T-shirts and sandals. Just easy-breezy, put it on and go out the door."
