Nicole Richie, Kerry Washington, Joss Stone

Mystyle Style Class: Au Courant

TREND: Foliage-inspired fashion

WHO'S WEARING IT: Nicole Richie, Joss Stone and Kerry Washington

HOW TO WEAR IT: Fall is the perfect time to branch out with an homage to the lovely leaf. Frond-shaped earrings are a really easy way to incorporate this perennial earthy trend into your everyday look. If you're shopping for a leaf-printed dress, we suggest you opt for one with seasonally appropriate long sleeves. The stars in sunny SoCal might be comfortable with bare arms in autumn, but not everyone can be so lucky. Brrr!

Lauren Conrad

Clearly, Lauren Conrad didn't tune in to the Glamour Women of The Year Awards when Stella McCartney got onstage in a purple mini and said, "Ladies up there, never wear a skirt this short!"

At Maxim and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 2 launch party, the reality star went even shorter than the designer did. In fact, it almost looked like she was wearing a top without pants! It's too bad, too, because that Ashish sequined boyfriend blazer is killer.

Emily Blunt, Zooey Deschanel, Eva Mendes

Mystyle Style Class: Classic

TREND: Dresses with a single bow accent at the waist

WHO’S WEARING IT: Emily Blunt (Dolce & Gabbana), Zooey Deschanel (Luella) and Eva Mendes (Christian Dior)

HOW TO WEAR IT: A sophisticated frock wrapped in a sweet bow has "holiday party" written all over it. But for the gift that keeps on giving, we suggest investing in a classic black bow belt to get the look. That way, you can add a hint of girlie charm to any dress. Add a pair of black tights for a totally winterized outfit.

Kim Kardashian, Milla Jovovich, Hilary Duff
Mystyle Style Class: Classic

TREND: Black and white striped dresses

WHO’S WEARING IT: Kim Kardashian, Milla Jovovich & Hilary Duff

HOW TO WEAR IT: The contrasting hues are so striking and chic, it's no wonder they're such a hit with celebs. Since horizontal stripes can be unflattering on most body types, make sure you belt your waist. Otherwise, diagonal or vertical stripes are the way to go! Halloween tip: We're going to pair our striped frock with black over-the-knee boots for a sexy jailbird costume!

Style Secret

TREND: Blue print dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Diane Kruger (Balenciaga), Kristen Bell (Oscar de la Renta), Ali Larter

HOW TO WEAR IT: Look for blue prints that have black in them. That way, you can winterize the look by adding tights, booties and a leather bomber jacket when it gets cold. Since the print is the main focus, you want to keep accessories to a minimum. A simple necklace or earrings will do.

Mandy Moore
Style Scene

Last night, I attended the Madison & Diavolina launch party in Los Angeles hosted by Current/Elliott designers Meritt Elliott and Emily Current. It was a chance to do some feel-good shopping (a portion of the evening's sales went to Susan G. Komen for the Cure). But the real reason I stopped by was to see my girl crush Mandy Moore.

The singer showed up wearing a pumpkin-orange Isabel Marant printed dress and black cutout Miu Miu heels. Cute! "I didn't put much thought into it," the California casual fashionista said of her outfit. She did, however, have fall fashion on the brain. "I've got my eye on the fall accessories. I'm a big scarf girl."

After our brief but amazing conversation (she's so sweet!), I thought I would be stalking Mandy's every move. Instead, I found myself marveling at two unexpected style mavens the rest of the night.

Alicia Keys, Leighton Meester, Thandie Newton
Mystyle Style Class: Au Courant

TREND: Watercolor dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Alicia Keys (BCBG Max Azria), Leighton Meester (Louis Vuitton) and Thandie Newton (Matthew Williamson)

HOW TO WEAR IT: Watercolor dresses don't scream cold-weather chic. So winterize them with lots of black—black tights, black pumps, black bag, black jacket, black belt. Just think twice about wearing black socks with black shoes à la Leighton. That's one artistic statement not everyone will understand.

Jenna Fischer

Aside from the hilarious spoof of this past summer's YouTube sensation, "JK Wedding Entrance Dance," the highlight of Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) and Jim Halpert's (John Krasinski) long-awaited nuptials on last night's episode of The Office was seeing the bride look breathtaking in an affordable David's Bridal gown. How affordable? The empire-waist chiffon-silk dress costs a mere $399.  And instead of budget-breaking diamonds, Pam finished off her look with a $149.99 Energy Muse "Sri Yantra" crystal necklace, which is supposed to bring affluence, abundance, blessings and love into one's life. Kudos to the show's costume designer for making the working-class lady (Pam's also five months pregnant) seem pretty darn realistic!

Keep reading for the must-see clip of the bridal party dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown's "Forever."

Kelly Osbourne, Rihanna
Style Shout-out

TREND: Sweatshirt dresses

WHO'S WEARING IT: Kelly Osbourne and Rihanna, both in Marc Jacobs

HOW TO WEAR IT: The sweatshirt material cries out for feminine accessories. You don't want to look like an Alexander Wang football player! Throw on pumps or high-heel boots and follow Kelly's lead and belt your dress to show you have curves.

The best part is, when the trend is over, a sweatshirt dress makes the comfiest loungewear.

Katy Perry

Yes, it was odd when Lady Gaga started kissing—and wearing—Kermit the Frog. But we're getting used to the singer's continual attempts to shock us with outrageous getups.

Then, designer Marc Jacobs decides to design a couture gown for Miss Piggy. Weird.

Now Katy Perry has joined the Muppet bandwagon! At least the singer doesn't discriminate. The Jean-Charles de Castelbajac dress she wore to the French designer's show features the whole gang of puppets, which she paired with Miss Piggy pink pumps to boot. We can only imagine what Katy's new tough guy BF, Russell Brand, had to say about the silly strapless.

What's your opinion of fashion's recent fascination with puppets? Vote in the poll below!

Teri Polo

Meet the Parents star Teri Polo gave us a peek at her personal style during Kari Feinstein's Pre-Emmys Style Lounge...

Fashion Philosophy: I'm a jeans-and-T-shirt girl. I like True ReligionJoe's Jeans and Seven, and Hanes' plain white wifebeaters. I like fun jewelry. You can dress me up maybe once a year. I really love nice, clean lines. I don't like patterns. I like basic colors.

Fave Red Carpet Dress: I wore a pale cream dress to a Golden Globes afterparty years ago. It was the ultimate comfy yet elegant simple dress that I've worn.

Makeup Must-Have: I love Lauren Hutton's Face Disc. It has everything from cover-up to blush to lip gloss. The colors and textures are unbelievable!

Olivia Palermo, Diane Kruger, Claire Danes
Mystyle Style Class: Cutting Edge

TREND: Dresses with shoulder cutouts

WHO'S WEARING IT: Olivia Palermo, Diane Kruger and Claire Danes

HOW TO WEAR IT: The cutout trend may be dubbed the "cold shoulder," but the peekaboo effect is hot, hot, hot! Balance out the sexy style by opting for a dress in classic black. Any attention-stealing necklaces are banned!
