Marc Jacobs' Daisy Shimmer Rollerball ($25) is a fresh, feminine fragrance infused with sexy sparkle. We had some Style staffers try it out at their New Year's Eve bashes. Read on to see if Daisy came up smelling like roses.

Liana Cecil

Pros: It smelled phenomenal, and the glitter lasted all night.
Cons: Though it worked, I'm not a fan of rollerballs.

Mariah Carey

Has it finally dawned on the diva that she's in need of a new look? We certainly hope so, given this pink teeny-bopper number and other mishaps Mariah Carey has made here and there. In a clever campaign to market her new perfume, Mariah Carey's Luscious Pink, she's inviting contestants to design a "luscious pink" confection especially for her.

The lucky winner's design will be produced in triplicate: one for Mariah to wear on her upcoming concert tour, one to auction off for breast cancer awareness and a third for the designer's own closet. And if you don't have a designing bone in your body, don't worry. The online game has templates for you to crib.

So what are you waiting for? Mariah desperately needs you!

Queen Latifah

Style Scene

The New York Times Magazine may have cast Tyra Banks as heir apparent to Oprah and Martha Stewart in last Sunday's issue, but we're voting for Queen Latifah!

The rapper turned sitcom star turned talk-show host turned movie actress turned Covergirl model turned Broadway stage sensation turned bra designer turned jazz singer turned Jenny Craig pitchwoman (take a breath now!) has a new product to hawk: her very own perfume.

We're certain the scent, set to hit counters in fall 2009, isn't meant for shrinking violet types. A few suggestions for names: Queen. Latifah. Majestic. U.N.I.T.Y. Sweet Reign.

What do you think Latifah should call her new scent?  Post a comment now.

Matthew McConaughey

Style Scene

David Beckham recently told Ellen Degeneres he felt "quite uncomfortable" shooting his steamy Armani underwear ads—yes, the one in which his crotch is front and center—even though he and Posh walk around naked at home. Then there's Matthew McConaughey, the new face of Dolce & Gabbana's The One fragrance. Although he's been photographed frolicking without a shirt in Malibu he won't go topless for his ad in America. What gives, boys? Are you really that shy about your bodies of steel? We're not buying it, especially since Matt didn't mind showing off his pecs for the European market. What do you think? Vote after the jump!

Archipelago Botanicals Grapefruit Gift Box

Style Scene

This spring beauty companies are obsessed with the citrus fruit. While Jo Malone has grapefruit cologne, Crabtree & Evelyn offers a shower mousse, body bar and mist in an invigorating pink grapefruit and cucumber scent. Want the whole shebang? Try Archipelago Botanicals' grapefruit gift box, right, complete with candles, polish, body butter and dry oil. Just don't overuse the fragrance. Too much of the sweet and tangy flavor can go sour quickly.

Jude Law, Patrick Dempsey

Style Scene

It's raining sweet-smelling men! Already the face of Versace, Patrick Dempsey is adding another modeling campaign to his resumé: Avon's new men's fragrance, set to debut in November. (It probably didn't hurt that his wife, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, is Avon's global creative color director.)

Meanwhile, Jude Law, who already fronts a campaign for the London-based line Dunhill, has been selected by Christian Dior to represent the French brand's new men's fragrance in all global markets, excluding the UK and the U.S. Which hunk would you want your man to smell like? Vote now!
