Is Taylor Momsen dressing under the influence?
Taylor Momsen's black fringe dress tells a grim tale. If Morticia Addams had had a flapper phase, this dreary misuse of spangles would have been ideal. This Gossip Girl turned Goth Girl is more ghoulish than glamorous.

Is Rachel Griffiths dressing under the influence? The Golden Globes nominee should be steamed. Not only does her baggy, toga-style dress fail to give her a waist, it fails the wrinkle test—where's a travel iron when you need one? And we aren’t sure who could pull off this shade of mellow gold color. “Oscar” looks good in it, but humans have more trouble. It was Rach’s braided halter, though, that reminded us of a garment almost everyone has worn: the clip-on bib at the dentist’s office. It never gives us much of a neckline either.Vote haute or not in mystyle's Fashion DUI gallery now!

At every awards show, one or two gowns always outshine the rest. But at last night's 66th Annual Golden Globes, we found six gems—and they were all so different!
We loved the architectural folds of January Jones' Versace, the romantic ruffles of Olivia Wilde's Reem Acra and the sequined embellishments on Evan Rachel Wood's Elie Saab. The color of Eva Longoria's Reem Acra was divine, and Kate Beckinsale's J. Mendel beautifully showed off her enviable body. But we also admired Eva Mendes for taking a risk in a high fashion Dior.
After much discussion, we were finally able to narrow our favorites down to one. See who we chose in mystyle's Style Shout-Out gallery. But first, tell us who you like best by voting below!

Eyes are naturally drawn to sparkly objects. So to showcase their small midsections, Rumer Willis, Oliva Wilde and Kate Winslet nixed diamond necklaces and brilliantly accessorized their waists instead (keep reading to see the embellishments up close).
There are two ways to get this look: Try pinning an ornate brooch on a ribbon or bow belt already in your closet. Or make life simple and shop the steal 'n' splurge below.

Last night, stars successfully wore nude without looking naked. Their trick? Embellishments.
If you want a man to jump on you, go for a solid flesh-colored frock. Hey, it worked for Carrie with Mr. Big. But if your goal is subtle sexiness, add sparkle with sequined stripes à la Penélope Cruz, Beyoncé and Demi Moore. For a feminine look like Elizabeth Banks' and Isla Fischer's try eDressMe's ruffled steal. Or channel Vanessa Hudgens and play with texture by shopping the lace and silk splurge below.

A deep V-neck is difficult to pull off. If you're normally conservative, like Tina Fey, it can look awkward. The Best Actress winner appeared uncomfortably stiff the majority of the night, probably because she feared the double-sided sticky tape might come loose. Jennifer Lopez, on the other hand, has the sexual confidence to wear a slit down to her belly button. But such a dramatic plunge only works for special occasions.
In real life, follow Evan Rachel Wood's example and look for a neckline that stops just below the bust. Since you're bare above, keep it covered on bottom. Pairing the tops below with jeans would be a great date outfit; you can show some skin without being overtly sexual.

Sure, we're still blabbing about the gowns—whose we liked, whose just didn't measure up—but we can't forget the boys. After all, beyond the baubles, the best eye-catching accessory has got to be the hunk on your arm! See who else besides Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie exuded couples chic at the Golden Globes in our newly updated Arm Candy Couture gallery.

Is Renee Zellweger dressing under the influence?
Renee, who must own the keys to Carolina Herrera's closet by now (the actress always wears her designs), pointed with her eyes closed when she picked this one for last night's Golden Globes. From the frilly updo to the bounty of bows, this outfit shouts, "Hello, Dolly!" What hurts us is that overdone black chiffon blouse. What probably hurt Renee more was the punishing nude corset. Bottoming out the look was a Victorian style skirt we swear came with a bustle. Just one question: What did she do with the parasol?

Stars are making up for last year's disappointing cancellation with gorgeous red carpet looks. So far, our fave is Eva Longoria Parker, who heated up the already scorching red carpet (it's 80 degrees in L.A.) in Reem Acra's curve-hugging mermaid gown.

From Penélope Cruz's sapphire Yves Saint Laurent to Eva Longoria Parker's turquoise Monique Lhuillier, stars were feeling all shades of blue at this week's award shows. Our favorite blue belle was Dakota Fanning. The 14-year-old's one-shoulder BCBG was age-appropriate, and the cobalt color accentuated her angelic eyes.
Who did you like best? Vote now in the poll below, then check back Sunday for mystyle's Golden Globe fashion coverage. As much as we love the ocean and the sky, our fingers are crossed that the red carpet turns into another sea of blue.
