While I cannot recommend purchasing a pair of 10-inch, bedazzled cartoon hooves, I do see some workable aspects to designer Alexander McQueen's work. And that's who we're dealing with, really. His clothes are all over Lady Gaga's video for "Bad Romance." As an ordinary person, you're technically out of luck, at least for a few more months; the McQueen looks presented in "Bad Romance" (and in McQueen's latest fashion show), were for Spring 2010; they aren't even all that available for mere mortals like us until the rainy months.

Vampire mania isn't going anywhere, especially with the second installment of the Twilight saga, New Moon, coming out on Friday. For those who don't like it, too bloody bad! It's even spilled into the style world. When the dark trend is done subtly, it can look dead sexy. Otherwise, piling on too many vampy elements will make you look like a Hot Topic employee.

HOW TO WEAR IT: Diamonds aren't every girl's best friend. If you hate digging through your jewelry box, try an embellished top instead. At last night's MOCA 30th Anniversary gala, stars shined in intricately bejeweled designs that required no jewelry except for a ring or simple pair of studs. Just stick to one crystal-studded item per outfit. Head-to-toe gemstones only worked on Miuccia Prada's fall runway.

Holiday bra discussion usually centers around Victoria's Secret's diamond creations. (This year Marisa Miller gets the honor of wearing the $3 million Harlequin Fantasy bra.) Extravagant decadence, however, doesn't protect you from the swine flu. Dr. Elena Bodnar's soon-to-be released creation does.
