Just got off the blower with a very clued-in handbag designer and accessories expert who tells me that, well, what do you know? We're in a belt renaissance right now.

"There are a lot of laser cutouts in belts right now," says Maria Argyropoulos, designer of M. Andonia handbags. (By the way, she adds, many belt trends are spilling over into handbags as well, so if you're into the matchy matchy, you're also experiencing a kind of renaissance.)

What are you supposed to wear with colored jeans? I want to know how I can pull it off.

Well just take a look at sunny Miss Cameron Diaz here. You notice that she pairs her ocean-hued pants with something fresh, but not overwhelming: a neutral, basic tee.
"You should keep your top and shoes a solid color," veteran stylist Mahjuba advises. (When it comes to simple white, you can go casual or more formal, depending on the event, Mahjuba adds.)

As for the jeans themselves, a good fit is more important than ever. Don't even think of, as stylist Kalyn Johnson puts it, "channeling your inner Carrie Bradshaw" without making absolutely sure that your jeans are cut to flatter. After all, nothing turns your butt into a homing beacon faster than a neon color. "Check out the offerings from Citizens of Humanity, Bebe, Rocawear, and Rock and Republic," Johnson suggests.
