Thom

Thom Filicia is the host of – and the driving force behind – the Style Network’s innovative interior design show Dress My Nest, airing Wednesdays at 11 p.m. Under Thom’s guidance, Dress My Nest offers complete room makeovers inspired by a homeowner’s personal style.

Thom comes to the network fresh from his Emmy Award-winning run on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, where he served as the resident interior design expert. Named one of House Beautiful’s Top 100 American Designers and one of House & Garden’s Top 50 Tastemakers for 2006, Thom also won an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Art Direction for a Variety or Music Program for his work on Queer Eye.

Prior to earning international acclaim on Queer Eye, Thom garnered recognition as a major presence in the design industry. In 1998, he established Thom Felicia, Inc. (TFI), his own interior design company in New York City. Most recently, Thom and TFI were hired to design the new W Hotel in the heart of Atlanta, and are currently working on the redesign of the W Hotel in Westwood, Los Angeles. Thom recently completed the interior design of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s primary residence in New York.

In 2004, Thom designed the “tents” for Olympus’ Fashion Week in New York City and has designed numerous tables at Elle Decor’s Dining by Design DIFFA Event. Other highlights include a complete housing renovation for an Oprah viewer, two Kips Bay Designer Showhouses, and the House & Garden Hampton’s Showhouse.

Thom and his designs have been featured in an ever growing list of publications including The New York Times, Teen Vogue, Entertainment Weekly, New York Magazine, Details, Out, US Weekly, People, The Advocate, The New York Post, Interior Design and House & Garden, just to name a few. In addition, Thom contributed to the Queer Eye Book: The Fab Five’s Guide to Looking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better, & Living Better.

Thom studied Interior Design at Syracuse University’s School of Art and Design.
