Peter Ishkhans

A full-on "style-nista," whose canvas ranges from hair to fashion to home decor, Peter Ishkhans embodies a style and aesthetic that has made him the stylist of choice from Hollywood’s hottest stars to rock and roll legends! With a client roster that includes Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria, Amy Adams, Alyssa Milano and Benjamin Mackenzie, among others, and began with George Harrison, Bill Wyman, Billy Idol, Robert Plant, Marianne Faithfull and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Ishkhans attributes his success to his insistence on always bringing out the beauty and greatness that lies within. Trained as a portrait artist, he cuts and styles and is always mindful of balance and form.

Ishkhans began his career 27 years ago in London and moved to New York in 1988 to work at a top salon on Madison Avenue. With his knowledge of both hair and products, he was asked to market and sell the salon’s Frizz Ease products and helped make that line a fashion staple for women all around the globe. Ishkhans was also the top stylist at the salon in Bergdorf Goodman before moving to Los Angeles.

In October of 2007, Ishkhans opened the Peter Ishkhans at Joseph Martin Salon in Beverly Hills. A perfect cross between buzz and tranquility, Peter’s salon embraces a community atmosphere that offers a relaxing escape. Soaring ceilings, illuminating natural light, beautiful wood floors, and a secluded upstairs area have set an ambience for the ultimate pampering spot.

In addition to his busy schedule at the salon, Ishkhans has been lending his expertise and cheeky Brit wit to many national TV shows, the most recent with the Style Network, appearing in two episodes of the hit series Split Ends that aired in November 2006 and January 2007. He also co-hosts Style's Fashion Police and has appeared in several series including How Do I Look? and Style Her Famous. Other show appearances include Oprah, America's Top Model, E! Emmy and Oscar Countdown, Extreme Makeover, E! Fashion Police and TV Candy.
