Thom Filicia
Thom Filicia is the host and driving force behind Style Network's highly rated Dress My Nest. One of the Top 100 American Designers (House Beautiful) and a recipient of House and Garden magazine's coveted international "Taste Maker" designation, he has emerged as a different kind of designer: one who blends the worlds of mass media and interior design to create an indelible impression.
Before coming into the public eye with his first television role, as the design guru on the groundbreaking series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Thom was an emerging superstar of interior design. His respected New York City practice, Thom Filicia Inc (TFI), was founded in 1998; clients include high-profile celebrities, international luxury hotel chains and prestigious clientele in the fashion, entertainment, media, real estate and finance industries.
Thom launched his first design book, Thom Filicia Style, in 2008. It deconstructs his design philosophy and gives readers simple step-by-step direction on how to make their houses reflect their inner selves.
An environmentally conscious designer for the past 10 years, Thom received a Bachelor of Interior Design at Syracuse University's School of Art and Design and has worked at the most venerable firms in NYC including Parish-Hadley, Robert Metzger and Jeffrey Bilhuber. He was a contributing author to the bestselling book Queer Eye for the Straight Guy: The Fab 5's Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, Behaving Better, and Living Better and has appeared in multiple national advertising campaigns and partnered with some of the world's most prestigious brands.
Thom will launch several retail lines in 2009 through his home collection, Thom Filicia Home, including furniture, textiles, floor covering, broadloom, lighting and more.
Jeannie Mai
An experienced makeup artist, fashion expert and actress, Jeannie Mai delivers her exuberant personality and unbridled talent to Style as host of How Do I Look?, the network's hit makeover series.
Mai launched her career as a successful celebrity stylist, with a roster of clients including Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and Rosario Dawson. It wasn't long before the entertainment world noticed her work, and she snagged a position as the spunky, fashionable host on Stir, an Asian-American magazine-style show on International Channel Networks. The program picked up its first Emmy nomination in 2005. Soon after, San Francisco music channel CMC invited her on as the first female veejay to host her own music countdown. She took on the role of entertainment reporter and producer on the WB's Daily Mixx before moving to Los Angeles after being cast as cohost to Frankie Muniz in the MTV pilot Granted.
Since then, she has been a popular reappearing host for E!, Style and many other networks. In 2008, she took part in Miss America Reality Check, starred in the Style Network special Dude, Where's Your Style? and toured the world as the official spokesperson of Never Accept Ordinary, a line of cosmetics.
